Na het techniek Deutsches Technikmuseum werd de U-bahn terug genomen naar de Warschauer Brücke. Aldaar werd er gewacht op de PKP Intercity vanuit Polen, welke die dag met de taurus met de Tsjechische vlag reed. Echter mislukte de foto van PKP door een kruising met de RE. Voordat dit ongelukkig moment gebeurde passeerde er een Siemens Desiro van de Vogtlandbahn.

De Vogtlandbahn reed sinds 2005 een open access trein tussen tussen Zwickau en Berlin Zoologischer Garten, de Vogtland Express. Deze trein was het antwoord op een gevallen gat in de dienstregeling door het stoppen van de Interregio tussen de twee steden. De trein reed tot en met 2011 een keer per dag tussen Berlijn en Zwickau, in 2012 werd dit door teruglopende reizigersaantallen teruggebracht naar een keer per dag op vrijdag, zaterdag, zondag en maandag. Een week nadat de foto is gemaakt is de dienst volledig gestopt en werd overgenomen door bussen. In 2015 is deze verbinding volledig gestopt.

Op 23 september 2012 passeerde de VT08 (642 308) van de Vogtlandbahn, voor een van de laatste keren de Warschauer Brücke op zijn weg naar Berlin Hbf en zijn eindstation Berlin Zoologischer Garten.

After the visit to the Deutsches Technikmuseum the U-bahn was taken back to the Warschauer Brücke. There the PKP Intercity from Poland should pass with the Taurus in Czech Republick design hauling. Unfortunately the picture was failed due to a crossing with a Regional Express. Before this happened a Siemens Desiro of the Vogtlandbahn passed.

The Vogtlandbahn offered an daily open access service since 2005 between Zwickau and Berlin Zoologischer Garten, The Vogtland Express. This train filled a gap caused by the exit of the Interregio train between the two cities. However Vogtland Express ran every day till 2012, from that year on it only had one service on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday due to disappointing passenger amounts. A week after taking this picture the service completely stopped running with trains and transferred to busses. The busses ran till 2015 when the service also ended with busses.

On the 23th of September 2012 the Vogtlandbahn VT08 (642 308) passes the Warschauer Brücke for one of the last times on its way towards Berlin Hbf and its final destination Berlin Zoologischer Garten.

De omstandigheden waren niet zo heel erg best: de zon stond niet zo goed, binnenkomen op spoor 5 betekent dat je niet op de kop van een perron kunt gaan staan, de trein was ook nog eens te vroeg en het was benauwd weer dus rennen was ook geen pretje.

Daarom dit panic shot onder de stationshal van Utrecht C. We zien hier ICE Neo 8002 op een proefrit Emmerich - Utrecht - Amsterdam. Dit materieel wordt de opvolger van de ICE3 (BR406).

Aquesta imatge ha jugat a Pels camins dels Països Catalans.

Dos arcadas del ala oriental (estilo románico del siglo XIII) con los rosetones de 8 rayos que están formando dos "dobles cruces" (una cruz patada y una cruz diagonal) en el claustro del Reial Monestir de Santa Maria de Vallbona de les Monges (cat.) - el Real Monasterio de Santa María de las Monjas (XII-XIV-XIX) - o Santa María de Vallbona, una abadía cisterciense femenina que se encuentra en el municipio de Vallbona de les Monjes situado en la Comarca de Urgell (Comarca de Urgel - cast.), en la provincia de Lleida (Lérida), Cataluña, España.

Santa María de Vallbona es el monastrio cisterciense femenino más importante de Cataluña y conjuntamente con el Monasterio de Poblet y el Monasterio de Santes Creus forma parte de la Ruta del Cister o de así llamado "Triángulo del Cister".

El claustro del Monasterio de Vallbona tiene bien insólita forma trapezoidal donde cada galería representa los estilos diferentes que prevalecieron durante las primeras cuatro centurias del cenobio.

- El ala del mediodía muestra la más severa austeridad cisterciense y fue edificada a finales del siglo XII y allí la mayor parte de los capiteles son lisos.

- El ala oriental ofrece ya todo el esplendor del románico, aunque también dentro de un marco de sencillez (s. XIII).

- El ala Norte es un magnífico ejemplar del estilo ojival gótico (s. XIV).

- El ala de poniente (s. XV) es una construcción renacentista con elementos neorrománicos.

LA LEYENDA SOBRE LA VIRGEN DEL CLAUSTRO DE VALLBONA DE LES MONGES:

En la panda este del claustro, la que se representa en la foto de arriba, se encuentra la capilla donde se guarda la Virgen del Claustro (la Verge del Claustre - cat.), una magnífica talla románica en piedra, datada de los finales del siglo XII - principios del siglo XIII y restaurada en el siglo XIV.

Cuenta la leyenda que esta imagen fue hallada en el interior de un depósito destinado para el aceite donde había sido escondida para evitar su profanación durante la invasión árabe.

Referente al recipiente del hallazgo coinciden todas las versiones de esta leyenda, luego aparecen ciertas diferencias:

- De acuerdo con una versión, la imagen fue encontrada durante la construcción del claustro y aquel lugar determinó su advocación.

- Según otra versión legendaria, no se sabe exactamente en qué lugar fue encontrada la Virgen de Vallbona, pero desde el momento de la consagración de la iglesia del monasterio era la primera imagen que presidía el templo. Luego la imagen antigua desapareció. O por alguna otra razón la primera estatua fue sustituída por su copia tallada en el siglo XIII y después de un tiempo fue depositada en el altar situado al lado de la puerta renacentista que comunicaba el coro con el claustro y así fue definida su advocación de la Virgen del Claustro.

En 1685 la imagen fue trasladada a la Capilla de Sant Cristófol y se custodió allí hasta el año 1895, cuando fue terminada la construcción de la capilla nueva, situada en la galería oriental del claustro y destinada especialmente para la Virgen del Claustro. En esta capilla el acceso a la estatua milagrosa es más cómodo no sólo para las monjas, que pueden aproximarse a la Virgen del Claustro desde el coro, sino para los visitantes del monasterio que pueden entrar allí desde el claustro sin detrimir la rigurosidad de la clausura.

- La tercera versión de esta leyenda ha surgido por casualidad, cuando nos dirigíamos al monasterio. Hemos entrado en un bar al lado de la carretera para tomar un café y preguntar el camino más corto hacia Vallbona. Entonces, al marcarnos la ruta en nuestro mapa, el dueño del bar nos ha preguntado, si íbamos al monasterio para ver a la Virgen de Claustro. Al descubrir que no sabíamos nada de aquella imagen, él nos ha explicado que la Virgen del Claustro, hallada en un recipiente pétreo para guardar el aceite... durante uno de los viajes...por el mismo Jaime el Conquistador quien regaló aquella imagen a su segunda esposa, Violante de Hungría. Entonces la reina trajo la imagen al Monasterio de Vallbona que protegía. Luego siempre, cuando podía, la reina venía a Vallbona para solicitar la intercesión para los partos rezando a aquella Virgen en una de las capillas adosadas al claustro. Así surgió la advocación de la Virgen del Claustro de Vallbona. La reina veneraba tanto a aquella Virgen del Claustro que por eso expresó su deseo de estar sepultada en el Monasterio de Vallbona. Y su voluntad fue cumplida...

Lo cierto es que:

1. La Virgen del Claustro de Vallbona tiene mucha advocación por los pueblos de alrededor y es invocada en los momentos del parto y contra las continuas sequías que afectan a esta región.

2. La reina Violante de Hungría (1216-1251) fue una de las protectoras y benefactoras muy importantes del Monasterio de Vallbona. Ella tuvo 9-10 hijos (según autores diferentes) y murió de fiebres en el Santuario-Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Salas (provincia de Huesca, Aragón), cuidando a uno de sus niños enfermos. En 1275 el sarcófago con el cuerpo de Violante de Hungría fue trasladado al Monasterio de Vallbona y se encuentra en la iglesia (en el presbiterio, al lado derecho del altar).

Jurong Falls is one of the tallest artificial waterfalls in the world, at 30 metres (98 ft) tall. The falls are located within the open-access Waterfall Aviary at the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore.

Water plunges over the top of a towering cliff at a rate of 140 litres (37 US gal) per second. The water is recirculated through a meandering stream that cascades down over a series of levels, creating an ideal environment for water birds, fishes, plants and other lifeforms at the aviary.

Designed with a rainforest landscape, the Waterfall Aviary is a 20,000-square-metre (4.9 acres) walk-in aviary, the largest in the world, that houses some 1,500 free-flying birds from 80 African species and 10,000 plants with 125 species of trees, bamboo, palms and ground-cover vegetation. Two observation posts at the top of the waterfall offer visitors panoramic views of the aviary.

This piece is called “Terracotta Cinerary Urn” and it was created by molding and sculpting away at terracotta.The dimensions of this extravagant piece (which includes the lid) are 13 3/4 x 13 3/4 x 8 in. or 35 x 34.9 x 20.3 cm. It was created in the 2nd century B.C. during the Hellenistic Period. According to the museum, It can be recognized as an Etruscan piece because of the depiction of a hero fighting with a plow. There are many urns that were created in this period in order to protect the person who has passed. Many times, such as this one, the name of the family or person is inscribed onto it. This one reads, “ARNTILE . AFUNAS . LAUTNI” which in English translates to “Arntile, freedman of the Afuna family”. This piece can be viewed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in gallery 170. Its credit line is Purchase, 1896 and the accession number is 96.9.220a,b. This picture is public domain.

The row of historical houses across one side of the elongated Neckarinsel is called the Neckarfront and includes the house with adjoining tower where poet Friedrich Hölderlin stayed for the last 36 years of his life as he struggled with mental instability.

Höderlinturm

Der Hölderlinturm zu Tübingen wurde im späten 19. Jahrhundert nach dem Dichter Friedrich Hölderlin benannt, der dort von 1807 bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1843 lebte. Das Gebäude ist eine der bekanntesten Gedenkstätten Tübingens.

Errichtet wurde der Hölderlinturm auf einem aus der Mauer vorspringenden Wehrturmsockel im späten 18. Jahrhundert.

Der Wehrturmsockel, auch Zwingel genannt, ist Teil der inneren Stadtmauer. Der alte Stadtgraben zwischen äußerer und innerer Stadtmauer, geht – wie staufische Buckelquader bei der Neckarbrücke beweisen – bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurück.

Spätgotischer Bau mit fürstlicher Grablege des Hauses Württemberg.

* Besonderheit: Lettner

Wie in vielen gotischen Kirchen bildete der Lettner einst die Schranke zwischen dem (der Geistlichkeit vorbehaltenen) Chorraum und dem Kirchenschiff der Laien, denen von dort die Lesungen („Lettner“ = „Lektorium“) vorgetragen wurden.

Als mit der Reformation die Chorschranken fielen, wurden auch landauf landab die Lettner entfernt.

Dass es in Tübingen anders kam, verdanken wir einer Idee Herzog Ulrichs, der 1534 in Württemberg die Reformation einführte.

Er machte den Chorraum zur Grablege des Württembergischen Fürstenhauses - so konnten Gottesdienste fortan nur noch im Schiff gefeiert werden - und der Lettner stehen bleiben.

Die Stiftskirche zu St. Georg in Tübingen wurde in ihrer heutigen Form von 1470 bis 1483 unter Graf Eberhard im Bart aufgrund der Übersiedlung des Chorherrnstiftes von Sindelfingen und der Gründung der Tübinger Universität erbaut. Baumeister waren Peter von Koblenz und Hans Augsteindreyer.

The row of historical houses across one side of the elongated Neckarinsel is called the Neckarfront and includes the house with adjoining tower where poet Friedrich Hölderlin stayed for the last 36 years of his life as he struggled with mental instability.

Höderlinturm

Der Hölderlinturm zu Tübingen wurde im späten 19. Jahrhundert nach dem Dichter Friedrich Hölderlin benannt, der dort von 1807 bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1843 lebte. Das Gebäude ist eine der bekanntesten Gedenkstätten Tübingens.

Errichtet wurde der Hölderlinturm auf einem aus der Mauer vorspringenden Wehrturmsockel im späten 18. Jahrhundert.

Der Wehrturmsockel, auch Zwingel genannt, ist Teil der inneren Stadtmauer. Der alte Stadtgraben zwischen äußerer und innerer Stadtmauer, geht – wie staufische Buckelquader bei der Neckarbrücke beweisen – bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurück.

* Besonderheit: Lettner

Wie in vielen gotischen Kirchen bildete der Lettner einst die Schranke zwischen dem (der Geistlichkeit vorbehaltenen) Chorraum und dem Kirchenschiff der Laien, denen von dort die Lesungen („Lettner“ = „Lektorium“) vorgetragen wurden.

Als mit der Reformation die Chorschranken fielen, wurden auch landauf landab die Lettner entfernt.

Dass es in Tübingen anders kam, verdanken wir einer Idee Herzog Ulrichs, der 1534 in Württemberg die Reformation einführte.

Er machte den Chorraum zur Grablege des Württembergischen Fürstenhauses - so konnten Gottesdienste fortan nur noch im Schiff gefeiert werden - und der Lettner stehen bleiben.

Die Stiftskirche zu St. Georg in Tübingen wurde in ihrer heutigen Form von 1470 bis 1483 unter Graf Eberhard im Bart aufgrund der Übersiedlung des Chorherrnstiftes von Sindelfingen und der Gründung der Tübinger Universität erbaut. Baumeister waren Peter von Koblenz und Hans Augsteindreyer.

Für Kinder während des Gottesdienstes

Im oberen Stock, neben der Orgel, ist für die spielenden und lärmenden Kinder ein schalldichter Raum mit vielen Spielmöglichkeiten.

Eine große Fensterfront gibt den Blick frei zum Gottedienst.

auf dem Turm sind Jungstörche - Weißstörche (Ciconia ciconia)

Der Kormoran (Phalacrocorax carbo) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Kormorane (Phalacrocoracidae).

Diese wurde als einziges historisches Gebäude nicht vom königlichen Architekten Karl Ludwig von Zanth, sondern nach dessen Tod von Professor Wilhelm Bäumer 1864 erbaut.

Sie diente Wilhelm I. als Gebäude für Fasanen- und Hühnerhaltung. Der Name stammt von der Bezeichnung für die Einwohner der Stadt Damaskus, die ein Zentrum des Maurischen Baustils war.

Dennoch wurde die Damaszenerhalle 1992 sorgfältig restauriert.

Ein Teil der alten maurischen Pracht der Wilhelma mit den kostbaren Deckenmalereien, dem Stuckmarmor der Wände und dem Kronleuchter wird hier sichtbar.

Charles Gesner van der Voort (1916-1991) has been a member of NRCV (Nederlandse Reünisten Vereniging China (NRVC, Dutch Reunists Association China), as well as most of his former colleagues at Holland-China Trading Company.

NRVC evolved from Nederlandsch-Chineesche Vereeniging which was founded in 1923, by people who had an interest in China. Most of them had worked there, or studied Chinese and Chinese culture. Its magazine "China" had its editors' address at Leidsestraat 82-84 in Amsterdam, where Netherlands Harbour Works had its head office.

Its main activities before WWII were along the China coast: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macao, Yantai (Chefoo), Xiamen (Amoy), etc.
