This shot was taken the same day as the previous photo, however, I managed to catch the sun shining through the clouds and onto the hut. I’m not sure if the wind lifted it and I hope that no one was inside when it tilted .

A younger male American kestrel (the one with spread wings in this picture) landed on an electricity pole and pushed the older one out.

I expected a serious fight but that's not what happened.

I mistimed the shot - I was wanting the wings at the top of the up stroke!

Ruby-throated Hummingbird with his tongue through a hole in the blossom. I'm sure the Carpenter Bees left the hole since they attack the flowers from the side and leave big holes. Thanks for visiting.

99 time out of 100, I'd delete this photo. It was the very first shot of the day. I usually shoot in manual, and I accidently pressed the shutter before dialling in the setting. The result was a sharp, but way overexposed image. Something about it appealed to me more than the properly exposed photo. I decided to convert it to Black & White, made a few tweaks on the curves panel and added some additional high pass sharpening.

Voilà! An almost sketch like image of Melbourne overlooking Flinders Street Station.
