This photo has a bit of a longer caption than usual but it might be an interesting read for you as it is about a nice coincidence.
At the beginning of high school, in 2005, I started to take notice of my strange dreams. I would often dream about the end of the world and about war. I was almost never myself (Irina) in these dreams and they would have extremely vivid details. A recurring dream was about getting help in order to escape a concentration camp.
My friend begged me to write these dreams down so I, reluctantly, did it but very disorganized. I was writing them on post its, scattered pieces of paper, at the end of a notebook, or in very random places. Only after coming to Poland, in 2011, and working on a book of my dreams, as a remake after Piotr Bosacki ‘s book, then I realized that I should be preserving them properly.
So I started a dream journal, but I still had all past six years before that were still scattered and disorganized. I started tracking down all the pieces of paper and all the notebooks and organized them chronologically with the intent of rewriting everything down into a single notebook from 2005 until 2011. The work is long and tedious. Sometimes copying down a single dream might take me more than an hour.
Today I managed to copy three of them. One of them, from 2007, was about how I managed to escape from a train together with other children in the middle of the field. Soldiers started chasing us almost immediately and upon realizing that they have no chance of catching all of us, they started shooting. I managed to run farther and hide on a row in a vineyard by covering myself with dirt and dried leafs. I spend there the night, too scared to come out. In the morning a man found me and took me with him. He took me to his home where he has managed to save other children. A girl told me that he has been rescuing many children from the bad soldiers. She reassured me that now they can’t touch us anymore.
After finishing writing it down, I went to bed and started to read an article about Nicholas Winton. Yesterday was international holocaust remembrance day and someone shared an article about him and about how he managed to save almost 700 children.
So all in all, it was a very nice coincidence. But I’m keeping my tinfoil cap off for now. If anyone got so far with the reading, I would love to hear about your dreams. Is anyone paying attention to their dreams? Writing them down? What do you usually dream about?

Resolutions
I resolve to get back into my Art again this year. Photography is my passion but I do also love drawing and painting. I have all these wonderful pastel pencil crayons and pastel art paper sitting there not being used!
Sometimes, just when you think you've finally hit the bottom, life hands you a shovel, and says, "Keep diggin'."
