Actually it was quite pretty with the thousands of locks on Pont (Bridge) De I'Archeveche looking toward Notre Dame.

But the siding still has that weathered rustic look. Found south of Rothenburg.

Taken at night facing Kölner Dom in the background. The Hohenzollern Bridge (Hohenzollernbrücke) is a bridge crossing the river Rhine in the German city of Cologne (Köln). Originally, the bridge was both a railway and street bridge, however, after its destruction in 1945 and its subsequent reconstruction, it was only accessible to rail and pedestrian traffic.

It is the most heavily used railway bridge in Germany, connecting the Köln Hauptbahnhof and Köln Messe/Deutz stations.

No H2O molecules were injured in this experiment. :) Hope you are having a fun weekend everyone!

With some green, yellow and brown thrown in just because it was there. :)

Tommy is a statue of a First World War soldier by artist Ray Lonsdale, displayed close to Seaham war memorial, on Terrace Green by the seafront in Seaham, County Durham, in North East England.

The corten steel statue weighs 1.2 tonnes (1.2 long tons; 1.3 short tons) and is 9 feet 5 inches (2.87 m) tall, with a rusty red patina. It depicts a First World War soldier, wearing boots, puttees, greatcoat and tin hat, sitting on an ammunition box, with downcast eyes, holding the barrel of his grounded rifle in his right hand. It is officially named 1101 (or Eleven-O-One), referring to the first minute of peace as the armistice came into force at 11am on 11 November 1918, but is more popularly known as Tommy, referring to the archetype private soldier Tommy Atkins.

It was displayed temporarily in Seaham from May 2014, but became a permanent fixture after a committee of local residents raised £102,000 needed to buy it. The price was handed over on 4 August 2014, the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. The statue was relocated onto a paved platform in 2015, under which was buried a time capsule containing donated items, including a letter from Ray Lonsdale, a T-shirt, children's artworks, war remembrances, and a Victory Medal.

The word Tommy can also refer to any other statue representing a First World War soldier, usually made of bronze, steel or concrete.

Taşköprü (Stone Bridge) is a Roman bridge spanning the Seyhan River in Adana Turkey. Throughout ancient Anatolia and Persia, the bridge was a vital contribution to the trade routes.

Taşköprü carries traces of the additions and restorations of many civilizations. Although, there is no definite information on the first construction time of the bridge, it is known that Hittite emperor Hattusili built a bridge in Adana, while heading to Syria.

Vianden Castle was constructed between the 11th and 14th centuries on the foundations of a Roman 'castellum' and a Carolingian refuge. It is one of the largest and most beautiful feudal residences of the romanesque and gothic periods in Europe.

In 1820, under the reign of King William I of Holland, the castle was sold piece by piece, and as a result, it fell into a state of ruin. It was a pile of rubble until the family of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg transferred it to State ownership in 1977. Since restored to its former glory, the castle now ranks as a monument of not only regional, but European importance.
