Oh the wind today!
Well it's not usually a problem, unless I am trying to set up for a photo outside...
Today was pretty uneventful.
I only left the house to go buy catfood.
Yes that is my first official crazy cat lady statement.
Since I knew that Target would probably not work out for my photo, I went driving through the hood on the way home and kept my eyes peeled for a good location. That's when I came across a cute house that had aqua trim all around the fence. I went ahead and set up. Then the stoopid wind decided to come play. After a few tries, the home owner came out the side door for a peek. All I said was, "um i love the blue!" hahahahaaa. He just turned around and went back inside.
Yup, that's me not giving very many F*%@$
-I did manage to finish writing my photo contract for 2 upcoming gigs. Finally decided it was time to cross my t's and dot my i's and get my shit together :)
This little ladybug hitched a ride on my shoulder as I biked home from work. I only noticed when I was inside, and decided it was time to get out the macro gun.
I stored him in a glass jar as I got my gear together, but had some problems getting him out. No matter what I did, he just kept running around inside. I let him be and finally he went out of the jar... but instead of crawling onto the white background I had prepared, he just started doing laps on the outside of the jar.
I figured it wouldn't last long so I started snapping away. He kept running, and I kept shooting. He kept running, and I got a little bored. He kept running, and I wondered what he was after.
After a while I gave up, figuring he'll find what he's after and crawl away to some other place.
But as I rushed towards the door this morning, I stopped and chuckled as I saw him still running around the base of that jar.

Something got into mah belly and festered. I woke up at 5:30am and it was my bed and the bathroom the rest of the day.

Woke up bright and early today to head out on a mini photo walk. Recently my street photography fire has been reignited so I am trying to get that mojo back. It's WAY hard to do in LA though. The people (forget about interesting looking people) are few and far between. Even if you are walking around at 8am.
Got some awesome environmental and architectural stuff but dammit I crave the people.
Took this shot at the end of my walk in front of the Angel's Flight. I had set up the backdrop when a nice gentleman stopped and asked me about it. He said he wanted to be in a photo. I said well come on over then! He's in the wide shot... you'll just have to wait on that one :)
Former London and Lothian vehicles are seen together at On A Missions yard in Oct 09 the London Metrobus BYX 274V had arrive via Head of Lutton and the Lothian bus via Ensignbus
Had a lovely evening with a group of creative people. I've been going to a potluck at a local gallery once a month for a Sunday evening salon :)
Basically it's a bunch of awesome creative strangers (for the most part) that come together and shoot the shit and share ideas and find people to collaborate with and what not. I'm always on a mission to find models of course. Bringing this set up just opened up the floor to having people pop in and shoot in my makeshift photo booth! It was a good time for sure, I might even have found a willing subject or two ;)

Because sometimes people just need to be POPPED!
Saturday mornings are always my favorites cause I get to go to 4x5 class! Today, on top of getting to shoot and play- I then headed over to a craigslist person to buy (at QUITE a deal) a whole developing kit for my new obsession! Happy day indeed. THEN hubs and I went to a gallery show for an amazing brazilian artist Joao Ruas and were in the first 100 so we got some sweet signed art too. It was a good day.
Today is my bestie's birthday (happy birthday mabel!)
and I got to enjoy it at another friend's gallery show :) Good times, congratulations to Cecilia Romero and Gianni Arone for their beautiful opening at Stone Mallone Gallery on Melrose. And p.s.- im pointing at a toilet that has been in the alley for trash removal for days... not cute
Spent the afternoon with friends.
We are working on a big tribute piece and more and its awesome.
Then for lunch, Porto's yummmmmmm! Yums and friends make me a happy girl- even on a Monday!

Went out to get some more shots of the roses and this little kitty was across the intersection from me... As soon as he saw me he started leaving the area... I'm a nice kitty lover, why do they all run when I come around? LOL !!!!!
Headed out to Joshua Tree with a group of photographers for some adventure in the desert.
You never think about how damn windy it can be at 5000 ft up in the middle of 2 deserts!
Beautiful landscapes everywhere, here we settled on doing sunset at Key's View. It didn't dissapoint!
... needless to say- i had to be my own backdrop holder cause there was no way it was staying up on it's own :) pure comedy i tell ya
Got up for a day of being out and enjoying the coldish winterish day out with camera in hand. After a flea market, a book fair, tasty lunch, obnoxious donuts, delicious tea- I got home and felt like a tubbo! Great day with some sweet goodies in there, now to veg and be a better eater tomorrow :)

Went to Fame Fest to see the uber sweet and talented Teacher (local artist) and throw some support his way. He's such a lovely soul, good people.
Then headed over to another art event- The Red Bull Canvas Cooler show/competition.
What a huge turnout! So many familiar faces in one place. I felt like the whole night was a blur.
It's always awesome seeing friends. AND 2 of my super duper pals won the contest! Congratulations to Greg Auerbach and Gianni Arone for making it to Art Basel 2014 :)
Froze my non existent balls off tonight at an outdoor art event. No bueno! At least I got to see alot of good people and be out. But DAMN it was cold!
