I made this picture this spring, 2018. April is the month of the Dutch national pride, the flowers. The colours have been saturated and I sharpened the flower field. Comments welcomed.
But still serving boater's needs for 65 years at Priest Lake, Idaho. Photo passed through a filter in OnOne to age the shot.
The 2018 winter, we went to Val Pusteria, Dolomites. Our location was perfect for some of the most iconic places on the Dolomites. This shot is from Misurina Lake. The lake was completely frozen and still crowded. You can actually stand on the lake and see the scenery from a different perspective. Comments welcomed.
It's all we've got, so far... but the river is icing over. In some places the ice already extends across the width of the river.
PS Oil,OnOne tints ,rest is mine. This is loosely (very loosely) based on an old cartoon Dick Dastardly & Mutley ( you'll be showing your age if you remember it) from the 70's i think could be wrong?.Anyway the basic theme of the cartoon was 'stop that pigeon' hence this low budget effort.Thank you for looking.
For Slider Sunday.
Captured with an Olympus E-M10, in Iceland at the Iceberg Lagoon back in late October of 2014.
Edited on the desktop in Photoshop. In addition to filling in blank areas due to straightening, I used Nik Viveza and OnOne Plugins for color and detail enhancements.
The original image was very flat and gray, but there was lots of hidden color and detail information thought the image. I did lots of slider work to pull that information out into the image.
Captured Oct. 2014 with an Olympus e-m10, in the early morning after leaving Hofen on our way to Jokulsarlon.
Not remembering just exactly where this was taken but across the road there was a sign to Vioborossel. Google has no clue where that is. So I am putting this image about where I think it was taken. If someone knows where it really is please let me know and I will move the image to its proper location.
Lots of work on this image, created the pano in Photoshop then used Viveza and OnOne's Perfect Effects.
Taken in Pula Istria, Croatia.
Processed in Topaz and OnOne Photo 10.
Topaz Impression - Impasto preset

Gilbert not to impressed that he had been taken to the Port in the rain and wind. I had taken his wet jacket off and had the heater blasting, but still not impressed at all.

As many photos as I have of Irises, I can't let a Spring pass without taking a few more.

I believe this is Jake Schlepp, who is the 2025 Clydesdale Barrel Race Champion. Here he is getting ready to present the Flag for the National Anthem before another Clydesdale contest.
It was that time of the year. Had planned to go the whole day and rented a Voigtlander 58mm lens to shoot with. But as the saying goes, the best plans will go to pot. Or something like that. We were able to spend at least a few hours there.
The Voigtlander lens is nice, but I still need to figure out how to use it in low-light situations. The drooling calf was my first subject of the evening. She stuck her head out for me and started to pose; I could not resist. Will have a few more photos to post next week. Take care, everyone.
