in my city Wiesbaden we have the annual "Nacht der Museen" - an evening/night event of many galleries.
And it is a fine tradition, that a number of 80-110 oldtimers is ready to transport the visitors in a circuit to the galleries. So you are lucky to see a lot of fine old cars, and maybe even more lucky to get driven to a gallery in your dream car...

This video is pretty crappy, but it gives you an idea how it is to drive an all-terrain vehicle built back in 1979 around todays complicated terrain tracks.
She did it well, but she was fast to punish me for mistakes.

Heinenoord
Dit was eigenlijk het eerste shot dat ik maakte van deze klassieker. Niet echt scherp en geen ideale achtergrond, maar de ontmoeting kwam als een volkomen verrassing.
Zojuist kwam ik de dijk weer op geklauterd, die glad was vanwege het lange gras. Daar beneden had ik de molen van Goidschalxoord gefotografeerd. Een onderneming die nodig was om de zon achter mij te houden en de prachtige wolkenlucht het best tot zijn recht te laten komen.
Hijgend weer boven gekomen zag ik deze oldtimer plotseling op mij af komen.
Ik was al blij, dat ik mijn camera niet had uitgezet, want ik moest onmiddellijk schieten.
Hij stond er in elk geval op.
Tot mijn geluk zag ik de wagen even verderop stoppen, omdat de berijders de deur van de molen open zagen staan en deze daarom besloten te bezoeken.

This was actually the first shot I made of this classic car. Not really sharp and no ideal background, but the meeting came as a complete surprise.
I just climbed up the dike, which was slippery because of the long grass. Down there I had photographed the mill of Goidschalxoord. An undertaking that was needed to keep the sun behind me and because of the best look of the beautiful cloudy sky.
Puffing I came up and I saw this oldtimer suddenly come to me.
I was glad I had not turned off my camera, because I had to shoot immediately.
In any case it stood on the photo.
To my luck I saw the car stop a little further. The drivers saw the open door of the mill and they decided to visit it.
