This pastoral barn setting is along highway U.S. 12 in southeast Michigan's Irish Hills near

Brooklyn. I was traveling to nearby Dewey Lake Manor to meet my flickr contacts Granttt73

and ROGERIOMACHADO.

The Anderson - Beardsley House in Tecumseh, Michigan was built in 1832 in what is described as a carpenter's interpretation of Greek Revival style.

I had the privilege of touring the house on April 8, 2014 with the home's new owner, who had found some of my earlier photos on Flickr. He is now undertaking a restoration, as well as restoring these antique refrigerators for use in the kitchen. At the left is a Kelvinator and at the right is a Coldspot (painted in pastel pink by the owner).

My grandmother. Photo from 1910, she was then around 28 years old. She was a photographer running her own business. She also had a motorboat of her own and was good at skating.

Oldtime view. See below for present day images. Today this house is surronded by subsequent development and trees. This image is from a shopfront display with historic views of the Freshwater and Totland area.

My brother Doug and nephew Grant I spent the night of August 31, 2018 at the Brick Ark Inn B & B in Albion for our visit to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival in nearby Auburn. The Brick Ark is an elegant old house built in 1880, though the guest rooms are in a charming new addition built around fifteen years ago. This room is in the original house and I love the corner window. Brick Ark Inn

I first met my flickr contacts Granttt73 and ROGERIOMACHADO on May 22, 2013 when they arrived at Dewey Lake Manor near Brooklyn, Michigan, which was our home for three days. This wonderful bed & breakfast in the country has all the comforts one might associate with living in the good old days. Dewey Lake Manor

I photographed this church in eastern Vermont near the Connecticut River in October, 1986. The location is along Highway 113 and I think the location is Thetford or Thetford Center.

Mill Of Mundorno Farm is now long gone, today the water wheel building stands as it was back in the old days, the field surrounding it is water logged with trickles of water still flowing towards the drain at the base.

The site is now owned by a Premier Inn bar and restaurant who have taken the name of the farm .

I can find no information anywhere on the internet ref the original Farm, hence I can only submit the photos I captured on the day I visited and hope you can appreciate this piece of Scottish history as much as I do.

I've posted below the info from Wiki ref Watermills to at least give a little understanding of the sites purpose back in the day .

A watermill or water mill is a mill that utilizes hydropower. It is a structure that uses a water wheel or water turbine to drive a mechanical process such as milling (grinding), rolling, or hammering. Such processes are needed in the production of many material goods, including flour, lumber, paper, textiles, and many metal products. Thus watermills may be comprise gristmills, sawmills, paper mills, textile mills, hammermills, trip hammering mills, rolling mills, wire drawing mills.

One major way to classify watermills is by wheel orientation (vertical or horizontal), one powered by a vertical waterwheel through a gearing mechanism, and the other equipped with a horizontal waterwheel without such a mechanism.

Stroma island is a little island in front of north scotland coast, between mainland and Orkney islands. It´s been uninhabited for a long time. Well, sheep are the only population there.

This photo was taken in 1994, with a Yashica electro 35. Scanned a moment ago.
