En El Invierno Del Alma Aun Queda El Viejo Camino Y La Luz Del Sol.

This is an old school house at O'Hara Mills in Madoc, Ontario. I love how the beautiful winter light filters in through the dark room giving a mysterious feel to the room.

Shot at a heritage festival in Havertown, Pennsylvania in a beautiful old house called Nitre Hall. Black powder was produced here in the early 1800's and Nitre Hall was the home of the powder master.

Here is a Lensbaby at F/16. It worked great for the "landscape" shot but not as interesting as "Embrace the Blur" at F/2.8. ;)

Behind the Scenes: I took 4 walks yesterday to get this shot for a total of almost 5 miles. I wanted it so badly and the sun was beaming like crazy. The sun would disappear behind a cloud for while and I would think the coast was clear. I set out on my walk and as soon as I would get to the house the sun would magically appear. By the 4th time I took the shot and let it be as it is, sun glare and all.

At least the sun was semi away....the shadows aren't as pronounced as they were the first 3 times! Nature can be so fickle sometimes. Hehe!

In the summer of 1976 we had a tour of Europe. Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia, Greece, Romania, Hungary and the GDR. One of the photos we took of ourselves ended up as Frontbilde on a new release of songs from this year.

Here we are 44 years older, (77)

One way to savor the approach to Mont Saint Michel.

Hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend. After days of cold drippy fog, we have a few hours of sunshine in San Francisco today. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Eine alte Liebe ist wie ein Buch .

Es passt der Inhalt .-

aber zwischen den Seiten

da ist noch viel Luft .

Dadurch bleibt es ein Leben lang spannend .

An old love is like a book. The content fits - but there is still a lot of space between the pages. This keeps it exciting for a lifetime . (c)Ch.Dol. ( me )

Lamentations 5:21 “O LORD, turn thou us unto thee: and so shall we be turned. Renew our days as in old time.”

The interior of the oldest mills in Kinderdijk, Holland, its one of the two museum mills.

The UNESCO World Heritage site of Kinderdijk, South Holland.

The left 19 mills which once were used to drainage the diked land are seen here. They were still functioning if necessary. Netherlands people live with water management since about 750 years.

This was taken at the Swan Hill Pioneer Museum, a wonderful tourist attraction in Swan Hill on the Murray River which is the border between Victoria and New South Wales. I cropped out the bottom half of the shot as it was full of modern sweets and lollies wrapped in plastic which didn't quite fit the theme. Plenty of familiar old names on those shelves (for Aussies anyway).

Røros in Norway is an old Copper mine town which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The town was completely re-built after being ruined by Swedish troops in 1679. First mining activities started in 1645.

A sensible man will remember that the eyes may be confused in two ways - by a change from light to darkness or from darkness to light; and he will recognize that the same thing happens to the soul. ~Plato
