Remembering 1750, when the factory started working, with specialists from Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Germany and Romanian workers...
i got frustrated with the tokina, but not because of the wide angle. it was hard being out in the middle of the day with a camera in my hand. i wanted to photo everything, but the light was so, so bad most of the time. this photo actually had bright gold, green, and blue, but the castle disappeared against them. i'm still not happy with any of my photos of edinburgh castle, nor stirling castle, and i'm not done looking at the photos yet, so i'm sure i'll be disappointed with many more photos of many more castles. at least i have them for my memory. as i am losing my mind at a young age, i am happy to think i will be able to look back and try to remember how happy i once was... in so many castles.
A long way from its original home 700 miles to the south, I found this bottom end of an old Coke bottle on the shore of the Coquille River at low tide in the City of Bandon, Coos County Oregon. Fresno is my hometown. Bottles manufactured during the period 1928 to about 1937 typically had the city and state location of the plant where they were bottled embossed on the bottom so that makes this older than I am by a few years.
Okay, my Dad swears he bought this a couple years ago. If that's true then the store where he bought it had some 30-year-old stock...
Another one of Dad's relics in his garage. How cool is it that electrical tape used to come in these little cans?
I like my old washing line. I like the big thingy that winds it up and down. it doesnt work which is a pain cause I am 5 foot 2, but I still admire its solid metalness.
