I'm a sucker for shapely trees and this Old Oak court my eye today while out for a walk with my boys.
Dashing home for a bite before having to get back to work, I snapped this while driving. I've always loved that old oak there on the right.... The sun was low and there were lots of nice views on the way home, but none convenient for stopping... kids at home ready for bed, waiting.
I'm approaching the end of P365 - year 1 and thinking about where I was when I started this project. This lovely old oak was the subject of my first picture on Christmas Day last year. I'm missing some days - I thought 3 days but the number says 4 so I'll be going past Christmas Day this year. Now I understand why so many people waited to start on Jan 1st...so much easier to keep track! Think I'll do that for year 2.
many times the ospreys drop part of the fish down on my deck which is thus shared by vultures, crows, foxes and racoons...this osprey was intimidated by the squabbling of the 2 vultures who were twice his size, so he took off but left the fish behind... the fish was grabbed by one of the vultures... please see the 3 previous pictures for a complete story...
In Mom and Bob's backyard. I fell in love with these ancient oaks. Bob told me I was welcome to return in the autumn and pick up after them, to see how much I loved them then.
