My Dad's old Rolleiflex. I think it still works but when a college friend tried to load a film in it the counter and wind on mechanism wasn't working properly. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows of camera repairers who would know how to check it over.
I have bought a film but don't want to risk wasting it until I know the wind on mechanism is working properly.
I found this sweet piece of machinery in a friend's book repository. According to the serial number it was produced in the early 1980s in Minsk, Belarus. He was kind enough to let me borrow it. I can't wait to put some film in it and try it out.
The Kodak Retina IIC (big C) is one of the the rarest Retina cameras, it was only produced for a year. In addition this camera also has the much rarer Rodenstock Retina-Heligon C lens in place of the more normal Schneider Kreuznac Retina-Xenon C so i suspect it is a very rare camera indeed!
Developed from the earlier Retina IIc (small c), this model has a taller top-cover to incorporate an enlarged viewfinder and rangefinder.
A point to note with these cameras, the lens serial number is usually engraved on the lens mount as well as on the lens, they should both match.

An old camera we found with my great-grandma's stuff, i don't know what time its from, but it seems 70s-ish.
