Once upon a time, many years ago, in a fit of generosity (or SOMETHING), I gave this to a friend. : {

At least, since we are still friends, I get to visit it once in a while.

Vintage camera collection and mid-century modern pot fills this little nook in the dining room.

I bought this Voigtlander 35mm camera from a kid on the street in Naples, Italy, in 1967, for two packs of Marlboro. Only later did I consider the possibility that he stole it from another U.S. Navy sailor. I used this camera for over twenty years. Anyone have any idea how old this might be?

The two Pentax SLRs were my last film cameras before going digital.

I found my mother's old camera and my cotillion gloves lying around and decided to make them useful once more. This is the best shot I got. =)

Some fun in the studio

A twin-lens reflex camera (TLR) is a type of camera with two objective lenses of the same focal length. One of the lenses is the photographic objective (the lens that takes the picture), while the other is used for the waist-level viewfinder system. In addition to the objective, the viewfinder consists of a 45-degree mirror (the reason for the word reflex in the name), a matte focusing screen at the top of the camera, and a pop-up hood surrounding it. The two objectives are connected, so that the focus shown on the focusing screen will be exactly the same as on the film.

(sorry about the titles... too many old pictures to tag).

A couple of years ago, someone gave me a bag full of lenses and this camera. They assumed because I carried around a D80 that I actually knew something about photography. I didn't. I threw it in the garage. Dug it out today. Tempted to see what this old girl can do.

Using the timer function on a Minolta XG-7 I recently repaired and installed new light seals into. This was shot on some very expired Kodak 400.
