Wish I still had the original 126 film Verichrome Pan negative of this photo, but its one of the 10% or so that's nowhere to be found, so this enhanced and cropped copy of the original print will have to do.
During the summer, my friends and I did an enormous amount of biking. Before any of us could drive, this was the way we got around. I used to occasionally bike all the way to New Haven along the route following the Long Island Sound shoreline through Milford, West Haven and then taking Kimberly Avenue straight into downtown New Haven.

Anyone who's been to Cambridge UK has probably been surprised by the amount of bikes going around the city. This is one of the things I love about living in Cambridge. Not being dependent on your car on a daily basis just makes your life peaceful and stress-free!
This is likely to be the last picture I post in the next 10 days or so. I'm off on holiday tomorrow and I'm not sure I'll find an internet connexion easily over there. Hope you all have a great week and I look forward to catching up with what you've been up to when I come back!
Head over to my website if you are looking for a photographer in Cambridge!
So after I'd spent about 15 minutes having fun shooting the bike I took it for a spin - got about a hundred yards before the rear tire blew and I had to carry it home :)
My 1920s Humber bicycle. It is a beautiful smooth ride and only needed the tyres pumped up. Good to go!!!
Two things caught my eye when I cropped down this 126 film square-format original print. That wide-collar shirt actually had yellow, orange, green and purple stripes. Very early 1970s! Also, that's my dad's Revere 16mm movie camera laying on the trunk of the car. Why? I just don't remember... but I'll bet that he's the one who took this photo with my Kodak Instamatic 104.
taken from across the street so I did cheat a bit and blur the right side. I still really like it though as he was randomly smiling which is infectious and made me smile.
