Fantasy colourisation of the sky over Regina, Saskatchewan, just before sunset. Shot from the south end of Prince of Wales Drive in the southeast area of the city.

Do you see an "A-Okay" sign in the clouds, like a thumb & index finger making a circle?

One last one of the Belted Kingfishers!

Besteleenden Meeting 2013, Leersum-The Netherlands

when i look back at all the times i had felt it was the end of the world, it just makess me laugh about how stupid i was. life doesn't end when all goes wrong, it ends when all hope is gone, when all give up.

this is for everyone who's dealing with something unbearable, something thats killing you inside.

but this goes out to one person in particular, just_makayla. i'm a great fan of yours and can never wait for another hilarious video. but you'r story touched me, and i've been praying for your grandmother since.

and the fights not over, stay stong..

There just ain't nothing better than a Happy beaver.....

I just thought this sign ...well.....cute... okay..

Nothing rude...nothing crude...just cute...

Yes...that's my final answer....lol...lol

Have a great day.... and keep on smiling folks.....

I suspect it was the one on the left!

Any one recognize these birds? They showed up and then left...but they acted like clowns...even the bluejays were laughing at them!

add: consensus is that they are either starlings, or clowns in a super-small car!

Driving on Shiloh Road in Garland after a doctor's appointment I noticed a little strip with a dry cleaners business named Decent CLEANERS. I thought that a rather humorus name for any business. It's just a tad understated. About half a mile further I decided to stop at a car wash and when I got out I saw the OKAY GROCERY. Lets face it, folks in the Land of Gar have always had kind of an inferiority complex of sorts in relation to other suburbs. There's something about the names of these businesses that just seems to fit. I fully expected to see MEDIOCRE Hardware nearby.

Sometimes you stay, sometimes you run

This is just an intermezzo - nothing shocking! Okay, a bit shocking then! Read on. :)

I was doing Long Exposures (ND110 filter) at Tata Steel IJmuiden - beautiful blue cloudy skies - when it started to whiffle quite a bit. Looking behind me towards the sea I saw this huge cloud coming in... out of nowhere, very fast, thunder and lightning... this time I decided to run, it was a bit too aggressive looking!

I didn't make it to my car in time, I tell you!

Later maybe some results *before* the storm... bye! :)

THX for viewing folks! Faves and comments are always welcome! Have a nice day.

Just spent the better part of the day with a bunch of sweaty guys who were hauling stuff up ladders, driving big rigs, carrying axes, and putting out fires. Ah, just another day in paradise.

Kidding. I was a guest of the Edmonton Firefighters -- they were training recruits on a big concrete building that I had shot before, from a distance. This time I was up close, and personal.

I have had a love affair with that building for a while, ever since I shot it last fall. I had no idea what it was; just that it was kind of spooky looking...and belonged in my book, Martha's Vine. It looks like a fortress, a place that could be defended.

The guys were splendid. Thanks to John, Al, Jim, Chad, Brad, and photogenic, Jack! (he knows who he is). Actually, all the boys were photogenic. But then so was the building and the sky was fantastic.

I am pumped...(pardon the pun) but I am actually going to post a bunch of images...just because.

Also, if any local photographers are interested in shooting this building when the firefighters are in action, contact me. I have the scoop. And if I don't, I know who to ask.

Warm wishes to all my Flickr friends,

~~Sheree~~

Okay, I have no idea what his name is, but he seemed friendly and quite attentive for the five minutes we .... well I ... conversed with him.

Charlie is a Variable Checkerspot, mostly from the dorsal side which is just as beautiful as the obverse. The reason I kept this shot is that it does show both sides fairly well. Well, the other reason is that it's only the second butterfly to ever land on me. The behavior is because he, as with all butterflies, need salt, and somewhere in evolution they learned that humans produce more than any cardiologist is happy with.

Shot at Castle Rock Trail coming down from the East Bay Regional Border. They mate once a year between March and late April, then disappear for a year. But they are predictable even in extreme drought: how much does a butterfly need in terms of water, and salt can be gotten from the smallest of ponds and even tiny mud puddles. (Oh, the other butterfly that paid me a visit was an Acmon Blue one the way down the lake trail at Crater Lake. Can't believe I used to do that with just complaining rather than complaining and gasping for air. Oh, and Tom, you haven't seen 98 degrees at Mt. Rainier; how about 102 at Crater Lake?)

I still want extra credit for a one-handed shot. That's my left hand as the landing strip, and the camera in my right. The other other time I was able to do that was with the little California Toad.

Okay, so I wanted to get something out to you guys before school started, so here it is. I recreated the Knightfall scene with minifigs, using the old Bane and new Batman.

Edited with Picmonkey <3

I will be building but not as much (Expect small vignettes from Batman and Harry Potter)because I am going to be in my studies. Anyways, tell me what you think. Oh, and also, yes this is one of the original Knightfall comic books from 1993, I have 4 of them. :3

God bless.

There is a fine line between being overly ambitious and plain stupid. I actually planned to fill the 1/6 book store with printed functioning books......... After 15 hours or more work I have just over 100. Probably enough to fill one of the bookcases I have planned for the shop. I'm going to have to make some shelf filling faux books because the original plan just isn't going to happen.
