Oh yeah! gotta love a stranger shot with mountains all around. Ramjen looked so cool sitting up there on his chair I had to ask for a shot! Pretty simple.

–Kaarvok (Farscape – “Eat Me”)
Inspired by Farscape, specifically the episode “Eat Me”. It is essentially Farscape’s zombie episode.
In a nutshell, John Crichton (human, astronaut, shot through a worm hole), Dargo, Chiana, & Jool are forced to land on a deteriorating Leviathan (they’re living ships…think whales but in space). The “zombies” are a negative side effect caused by a mad scientist, Kaarvok, who “twins” his victims so he can “eat” them. This was done by sticking a giant needle into the back of his victim’s heads via a device attached to Kaarvok’s arm (this same device also is the source of the “twinning” foam). On Farscape, the mad scientists are truly mad. Not to give away too much (aka: SPOILER ALERT), but in a confrontation, John Crichton overloads the device, which destroys Kaarvok & leaves a “twinned” Crichton. The episode ends w/ both Crichtons silently playing rock, paper, scissors, and with each result exactly the same as the other.

8/16/08 – If you’ve known me about 10 years ago, you would have known I was obsessed with comics. Though my strength was on knowledge of comics coming out (especially the indie front)…just couldn’t get into the whole Silver & Golden age movement, sorry. My favorites were Dark Horse, Vertigo, Manga, and small publishers. I pretty much read everything from the commercialized super-heroes to the surrealistic streams of thought you got from publishers like Fantagraphics. Actually dated a girl because she reminded me of Enid from Ghost World…complete with the best friend too.
I didn’t outgrow comics, I just couldn’t afford the $100-$200+ a week to read all the titles I wanted. Yes, I was that freaky.
Because of all the Watchmen pictures I’ve seen lately, and the preview at the beginning of the “Dark Knight”, I had thought I owned the Graphic Novel. While searching for it, I discovered our Water Heater has a slow leak (which sucks), and a couple of my long boxes were soaked. Seriously, by the protective comic book bags, they saved my comics, only lost a few titles (the ones not in the bags).
I must bow my head in shame, I did not own the Watchman GN. Off to the Comics Dungeon (a comic book shop) the boys and I went. I’d like to take a moment to say they were both exceptionally good, and respected the shelves & comics above my expectations. I even had a good amount of time to look around…which was really fun!
We ended up purchasing the Watchmen GN, 2 long boxes, and this issue of Previews. Aware this is not a direct recreation of the double feature shot, but decided to go along with the Hellboy theme. Now, if they had a Batman event on the back cover, that would have been perfect.
Today’s August Alphabet Set is brought to you by the letter “P”, and the number 2.99…the average price of comics. When I stopped buying them, 2.99 was the price of the heavy paper often used for limited series & special event titles. Indies now average 3.99 per issue. Though the way I see it, Graphic Novels (Trade paper backs or Hardcovers) are the way to go, and the individual issues are the means to generate revenue to publish them. Support you local dealer!

No surprisingly, some people noticed "the pen".
It was a long time ago that Rumblemumbles gave me this pen to liven up all those booooring meetings.
She is like a member of the family now, and I couldn't bear to discard her like some forgotten floosie. (The pen, I mean, not RM)

"Utah" and "Ether" are/were a notoriously prolific American graffiti duo often dubbed the "Bonnie and Clyde of the Graffiti World".
"Utah" and "Ether" are globally recognized for their relentless focus on train writing, having tagged subway systems and buildings in over thirty (30) countries across five (5) continents.
Finally, the infamous duo were seen about Melbourne in May 2016 during their "spraycation" which has since became a major part of Melbourne's urban history following a high-profile arrest of "Ether" and a subsequent jail sentence.
