Malted Milk biscuits to dunk in a mug of hot tea. I'm so easy to please on a wet and windy morning in Cornwall :)

Listening to the Gerry Rafferty album Snakes and Ladder an added bonus.

One can always dream, agree? And my dream came true ^__^V

Thank you Leo x

...and miles and miles and miles

Oh yeah

...but not by me. so here's my bokeh street.

An unexpected opportunity arising from a fairly routine road trip. A memory of Paul Boudreau's fantastic piece, "Bored in the Backseat" flashed in my mind and out came the iPhone. This time from the front seat, on the passenger side, I worked my own signature styling to try my hand at roughly the same PoV as Paul's piece. So this one goes out to him. Thanks for the inspiration, Paul !!!

Music Link: "Oh Yeah" - Roxy Music, from their album "Flesh + Blood". Here it's performed live by the band at the Apollo Theatre in 2001. I've always loved this song, as did my late friend, Paul Thomson. Having made countless road trips together with music being the life force of the journey, we particularly loved the line in the song that goes "So in tune to the sounds in my car".

I also can't forget the creative partnership and mutual mentoring of my Arizonian compadre Paul Ewing, who co-founded PANO-Vision this year with me. His amazing work turning the everyday into something magical has also inspired me.

So alright, let's just do it this way .... This image goes out to 3 Pauls ... Boudreau, Thomson and Ewing. The song though, particularly, to Paul Thomson.

Hey guys! Hope you are having a great summer.

I'm getting back into picture taking so you can expect some more this fall!

Right after taking this, mom and I found an adorable lost dog with a pink bow, and befriended it and helped it find its owners. (Wish you could still do photos in comments, because it was reaaalllly cute haha)

Sending hugs ♥

P.S. Thanks to the wonderful Joanna for the title.

Dear Flickr,

Sorry I've been away again, work and life both piled up and so I've had to tend to my 'garden' so to speak. Don't cry for me, Argentina! My garden overfloweth--seriously, you have NO idea!

Tomorrow my best friend and I are taking 50 of her 13 year old students CAMPING. In The Woods. She is a 7th grade math teacher and her kids are these awesome little inner city kids with spirits bigger than you can imagine, some have never been to the mountains, some have never thrown a pine cone.

I hope to encourage them to breathe in as deeply as they can as often as they can and note the absence of smog. I hope to encourage them to lock arms as they meander up the hiking trail and take comfort in each other's presence. I hope to encourage them to stand still and listen, and to hear not the hub of the city but the vibrations of the cricket's legs rubbing together and the hooting of the owls. I hope to encourage them to make a total mess of the s'mores we're going to make, even though they won't let us use fire to melt the marshmellows. (Lame). I hope someone starts a food fight in the mess hall.

And most of all, I hope the grown ups don't see me throw the first round of Jello.

Wish me luck!

Love,

Jess

Jeff was too sick to come out today so i decided to take some pictures of my wife. <---that's weird to say

'Cause light bulbs can come in all these different sizes and sharpes, you know?

Well, so does Eggbert!

And so, we add another chapter to Eggbert's very questionable choices of disguises...

shot during my recent family trip to Malacca. during my trip i brought my family to the Ikan Bakar Parameswara, Trishaw ride, and we also took a trip on Menara Taming Sari. the trip cost me hundreds of ringgits but to see the happy face from the kids was.. priceless :)

ohyeah, about this mosque. its a manually blended image of few exposures. masked here and there to get desired final image.

It is so wonderful to have arrived in Florida!! Bob kept a log of our journey and here are some interesting facts: we drove for 90 hours, covered about 5000 miles in about 8 days. :-)

So thankful for safety along the way, and now we get to have some R & R before we leave for Roatan on the 23rd.

I love Florida. We have been coming here to see Bob's parents (they are snowbirds) for over 20 years so it feels a bit like 'home'. I love the smells, the sea, the flowers, and even all the pink buildings!!! We have never been here at this time though.. and one thing I don't like is the humidity. oh my!!!

So until we leave for the coast in a couple of days we are enjoying the A/C inside or the coolness of the pool. Wilson wouldn't go in though because well he has an averion to chlorine. I told him that in a couple of days he will be back at the sea again. His anticipation is mounting, as is mine...

pb biscuits from Trader Joe's.

I was inspired to try this shot by northshoreleo. He has the greatest shots of himself and his dog Oshin. I'm gonna take a wild guess here that my Bella and Gracie are not as well-trained as Oshin (at one point they dragged me over a stone wall trying to get this shot). Yes, there were witnesses. .... Laughing.

leaaave me some love!

Ascending the Angel's Landing hike at Zion National Park... more than occasionally, I would look back at how far I had come. And marvel at humankind's ability to even create such a magnificent trail.

SOOC, I am so proud.

This shoot was so much fun, but a hassle.

Like I really felt like taking pictures, even if they turned out horrible I'd still be alright with it.

Hmm, I feel SOO much better.

Really, I thank everyone for all their support.

Uhh tomorrow the STOP MOTION of my painting my room.

I hope it will turn out well.

I mean, it could be a disaster, but hopefully not.

It's funny... Right now my room is hot pink.

And I'm going to try and do it all in one day!

Ahhh, speedy.

I'm going to have to wake up early for it, but it'll be alright cause I want it DONE :D

Ehh, yeah so that's going to be my day tomorrow.

Three more weeks until NEW YORK.

Ohyeah.

Then I'll be there for two weeks... without a computer.

I. Am. Going. To. Die.

Really taking pictures and not uploading them will kill me.

AHHH D:

Ohwell, I'll figure something out.
