Sunrise 1 and 2 were painted and exihibited in the Peterborough art gallery. While they were up, I finished 3 and 4, all 4 were exhibited in the Oshawa Gallery as a complete set the next year.
Wheels, Totems, and Wishes, was created by artist Willie Cole in 2019 for HYxOffTheWall. By repurposing shoes, plastic containers, and other common materials, Willie Cole creates visceral artworks that communicate potent messages about civilization’s place in space and time aka history. In this site-specific installation a seamless cloudscape and totem pole made from high-heel shoes serve as backdrop for 3 unique mandala-like constructions made from recycled water bottles. Cole invites viewers into the space, asking individuals to write messages and place them in bottles at the center of the mandala, playing off the classic “message in a bottle” concept.
HYxOffTheWall, on exhibit at The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards from March 2019 to January 2020, features large-scale tableaus, interactive displays and murals from 13 artists. The exhibit was curated and produced by CultureCorps.

What to Wear in Candyland was made by artist Will Cotton in 2019 for HYxOffTheWall at Hudson Yards. The vignette depicts three powerful, monumental female, framed by blacks walls, ceiling and flower, engaging the viewer to reveal their active role in the construction of their self-image.

USA For Africa - We Are The World
Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)
One of the more memorable moment for me was the performance of the Michael Jackson in the "We are the world" song which was performed live on television. The fundraising project for the USA For Africa was an amazing charity production that brought togather on one stage some of the most popular singers at the time to draw attention to a crisis taking place in Africa. "We Are the World" is a 1985 song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, produced and conducted by Quincy Jones and recorded by a supergroup of 45 popular musicians billed as USA for Africa (United Support of Artists for Africa).
USA for Africa
Most of the singers on the record are American, with the exception of Bob Geldof (who is Irish) and Dan Aykroyd (who is Canadian).
Despite all of the threats, the injunctions and the advise from well meaning friends and family, I've decided to publish another issue of Pelican Life Magazine. It may be the ultimate special interest magazine....you know, when you consider pelicans are not avid readers.
If this sort of thing is right up your alley, check out my Pelican Life Magazine set to see all of the fabulous back issues www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157623760809326/

inside of all of us is a Wild Thing.
today started and stopped, started and stopped. it quirked and sputtered and bounced off a wall or two.
lessons learned: people might take jabs, whether they mean to cause harm or not, most time's they don't. and even though it stings all it really needs to heal is a rest-up with those closest to you. keep in mind those that you know wouldn't take those jabs, and know what makes you tick and what you might even be a tad bit sensitive about, those people are the keepers.
learn those lessons, though. the one's that may hurt now but heal over in the future and teach you about yourself.
i've probably seen this a hundred times now. how can you not be psyched for this?
goodnight and God bless.
Last year, i got rid of my canvas vans authentic shoes for some suede authentics. This year, it's about the italian leather. The old ones have been taken to many places throughout this year; starting in vancouver, to montreal, then squamish, and now victoria. You've done well, but your time is up.
i did a similar shot last year (here), and another one two years ago. Check it out here!
