This is a quick sketch in which I was aiming for a European flair, but my quickness lent carelessness to the piece, hence why it (in my view) is somewhat rough.

Don't you just love finding mysterious new places whether it be remote and far away or wether it is in a very familiar place under your own nose.
Ever go through your old files looking RE-Process them. Here is one mine, this was a pain masking job at the time with my limited skills and white balancing options. I wonder what it will look like redone (throw it in the pile for that)? Here is one unfortunate thing, I didn't kow about color profiling some of my older files on my own website have not been converted to SRGB for the web so the color is not showing up. More work to do in finding all of them.

The historic Philip Frankel & Co. building at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, stands as a beautifully preserved testament to the town’s vibrant 19th-century commercial history. This was taken Saturday morning down on the western end of Lee County, Va. had never noticed this barn from the highway until a few weeks ago. It sits way back in the fields with Stone Mountain in the background. Fortunately, an old railroad bed, now a walking and riding trail maintained by Wilderness Road State Park, runs about a 100 yards or more to the front of it. This photo was taken from just outside the fence that runs along that trail. Since the same family owns land on both sides of this trail, this side of the farm is accessed by a covered bridge the owner built across a deep cut in the old railroad bed. This way, he can move equipment, cattle, etc... from one side to the other without technically getting on "park" property! I have to admit that I did trespass (although I saw no signs) at the bridge to get a couple of "not-so-good" shots of it, and to get another angle on this barn. Shhhhhh! Don't tell the owner! By the time I took these few shots, the tips of my fingers were aching from the cold, so I didn't take much time to get a good photo of the bridge. I guess I'll have to go back!

I think this is an otter den along the Kickapoo River.
I've never seen an otter in the wild so it may be fun to go sometime and sit on the opposite bank or on the bluff and watch for activity.

There are distinct advantages to using camera equipment that is both inexpensive to replace and consists of a wooden box with a hole in one side. One of the big advantages is the utter lack of care when considering whether to pull it out into a swirling, dense cloud of freezing mist. In fact, the only environmental limitations that seem to come up are those imposed by my own body. As long as I can take it, my wooden pinhole will barely notice. And by the time this image was finished a couple of minutes after it began, we were both encased in a layer of ice and temporarily frozen where we were. Quite possibly, that pillar of ice on the right then is really an unfortunate previous pinhole photographer who had the misfortune of loading too slow a film in their camera.
