This is a dark box used for pulling film. People sometimes stare at me while my hands are in there. Once in a while guest service would get a real mean guest while I was in here and I would find myself extending the middle finger.
New Village at Patchogue project has almost completed construction of all structures in their vertical rise. Roof trusses are topping off Buildings 3 and 4 to the West while Buildings 2, 1, and 5 are fully roofed. Siding systems at Buildings 2 and 1 are very far along with trim details at Decks being completed. The building elevations present many different features and with much in place, the true charm of the buildings is becoming evident.
Exterior site features are being prepared to accommodate parking lot, sidewalk and landscape features and interior features are becoming a primary focus in the move toward completed buildings.
Exterior Brick and Stone are commencing at Building 5 while these features are nearing completion already at Buildings 1 and 2.
The interior of Building 1 is being trimmed, painted and tiled with cabinetry and floorcovering features moving forward as well. Building 2 is currently being sheetrocked and similar progress is soon to follow at Building 5.

A picture of Hege's new printer (bought it for her as a birthday pressent). Hege working in the background. The printer is a mean machine. It has built in wireless network, so all the computers in the appartment can access it. The built in memory card reader shows up as an external drive on the connected computers. You can scan to any computer in the network. It has IR and bluetooth, so you can print directly from a cellphone.
The print quality is just amazing.
Before the big collapse there were many big projects going on in Iceland. One of it was this skyscraper which now stands empty near downtown Reykjavik. There are lot of new building like this around Reykjavik, empty or half finished. Anyone in need of office space?

A coworker gave me Milton's stapler for Christmas. The bust (minus the hat and sunglasses) was in my office when I moved into the new job; the back says it's Kate Greenaway, but everyone at work calls her The Contessa.
During this phase of construction on New Village:
- All roofing operations were completed.
- Progression of cementitious siding
- Masonry veneer work at Building #5 was in progress
- Interior drywall operations at Buildings #1 and #2
- Finishes being installed at Building #1

The New Village at Patchogue project has progressed nicely beyond 90% of all subgrade structural features and about 60% of the elevated structural post-tension slab work is completed or in progress. Building 1 spearheads the vertical rise with two levels currently framed and Masonry construction rising above the wood framing. Building 2 will under way with its first floor of wood framing by the end of April 2013. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades have been coordinating with ongoing structural components in all buildings as the system installation needs progress, and installation of roughed out systems in sub grade and framed units is well under way.
External site improvements are partially placed while the installation of a major portion of subgrade sewer, power, communication and drainage systems that will serve the project are scheduled to commence shortly. By the end of May, the last section of connecting structural slab is expected at the crossover to Havens Avenue opposite Jennings and will complete the footprint for vertical construction at buildings 1, 2, 3 and 5. Building 4 is scheduled to start excavation at West side of the site (on Main Street) to make way for the foundation at the last structure in the project.

Building 3 is formed for the first phase of elevated structural concrete deck, and the second phase elevated deck pour will be moving toward the Lake Street edge by the end of July.
Building 4 has much of its sub grade structure in place with a move toward the elevated structural deck by the end of August.
Subgrade utilities for LIPA, Verizon and Cablevision are completed at 70% of the site along with the same percentage of sewer and storm connections to on site drainage structures.

Teachers Federal Credit Union chose to open a branch at 31 West Main Street in the heart of TRITEC’s New Village Development
The space designed by Joseph T. Matthews Architects and constructed by TRITEC Building Company, Inc. The branch is beautifully appointed incorporating, white wainscoting, wall covering and original brick accents from the 1800’s.
When 31 West Main Street was purchased by TRITEC as part of TRITEC's redevelopment in Patchogue the building was indisrepair and in need of major renovations. TRITEC restored the building back to it’s original character replacing the third floor and replicating the original cornice built in 1897. TRITEC has been blending the elements of the original structure into the current design and functionality of the building for our new tenants.
