The Panel Session on innovative financing instruments for the mini-grid sector hosted experts such as Katrina Pielli (Senior Energy Advisor and Lead at Power Africa), Jane Oyugi (Co-Founder and CEO of Sustenersol Company), and Andy Schroeter (CO-Founder and CEO of Sunlabob Renewable Energy Laos)
I found these fragments several years apart, maybe six, and in different countries, England and Spain, yet they seem to be nodes in the same network.
The Tesla CD Turbine on a recycled plastic bowl stand.
The CD Turbine is made from re-cycled CD's, CD cakebox, a nozzle, neodymium magnets, and glue. Lots of glue.
The six drive magnets can be seen through the top.

Pearl and Tim Unger started building their home and opted to keep it small (500 sq. feet) and easy to heat with a gravity fed water system and composting toilets. Craik has been recognized as a regional centre of expertise for sustainable development in Saskatchewan. A local volunteer committee developed the idea of the Eco-Village to attract folks to this small centre, half way between Saskatoon and Regina.
