I needed a bigger converter to run the new laptop 19v from 12v. This converter will go up to 150watt so operates my 17" laptop with no problems.

Naomi and I rented a small tiny home/cabin through Air BNB for a little weekend getaway to hit the restart button. We took her polaroid camera as well but I didn't scan any of those in.

The work was carried out on site by OPS in November 2009 and included a complete system upgrade of the old inverter to the new DSP controlled HPC system, with new current transducers installed and a user friendly SCADA package. This SCADA package will allow the operators and administrators of the school to effectively monitor and control the new system with ease and efficiency. The aging battery bank was entirely replaced with 40 x 6V, 875 Ah batteries, and the MPPT solar regulator was integrated into the DSP control to ensure maximum yield of the solar energy.

Walking back to my cabin after supper along the path, over the stream, I stopped. It was dark but the filtered moonlight through the wispy clouds gave just enough illumination.

Listening. I heard nothing. It is windless night, cold, ground blanketed with fresh powder.

Still stopped, frozen in place, I glanced around. Searching the forest I saw nothing.

For a brief moment not a car moving, not a plane overhead, not an animal moving. I was alone in the silence.

Those moments are rare.
