AM Off-roader is a car made in buggy style made for off-road races. This car is lightweight and powerfull, and includes a extra tire in the backside in case of one of the tires has a hole.

Because I only had one full day in New York I took back to back Hop On Hop Off Buses. Some of the images are not very good as the bus would go over bumps etc,.I have kept them in as memorises of the day. I only got off the bus once so most of the photos were taken as we were travelling along. Sadly I just didn't have time to have a good walk around.
I woke to a lovely sunny day and not too cold with around 16c. As the day went on it clouded over a bit and cooled down. November 7, 2018 USA.
I was lucky enough to win and take home the One-off SDgr Lorina Girl from the Volks 2015 Dolpa Tea Party in LA! The whole event was so much fun but this was the icing on the cake! I'm smitten. This is only a quick photo but I already love her in every single wig I've tried on her!
The scene just coming off the beach at Dadonghai Bay. Hotels, restaurants, condos and palm trees, I hated to leave. We were headed back to the Hawaii hotel which was the building in the distance with the dome on top.

Daniel was lit from the side, while sitting in shadows, plus a small flash to highlight the graffiti behind him.
This was part of Brent Pearson's Off camera flash photography course... what a great course... This certainly was en exploration into a new area of photography for me.. I had never tried flash work with models before... something to try again, now that I have some idea of what can be achieved.

Our photo Soc evening outing turned a bit damp, so we ended up in a local - some of us still looking for photo-ops.

Just at the point of starting our walk the clouds came over and rather spoiled things, leaving us to hope that the far off patch of sunlight would come our way once again.

Porträttet på Iggy Pop från Köpenhamn 1977 som ger besökarna det långa fingret är verkligen färgstarkt och fyllt med kraft och karisma, även om bilden är i svartvitt. Med det medelålders paret blir det en bra och lite rolig bild.

The strong portrait at Iggy Pop in Kopenhagen 1977 is filled with power and when he gives the finger to the visitors wieving the photo. It is colorful in many ways....even though the photo is black and white.

Venardos Circus 20191012 Asheville NC Asheville Outlet Mall
My wife and I made plans for one year to make sure we could take a vacation planned around The Venardos Circus in Asheville, NC. We planned to stay for ten days! The first day of prep two days before take-off, our slide out on our RV broke. This was our third of three slide outs to break in some manor to hinder our plans. Fortunately, I found the Mobile RV Doctor Gary Castor. $611.00 later and an entire day of wrenching we were ready and determined to catch the sold-out show. We thought we might catch a hotel. But booking a Hotel in Asheville during leaf blowing season is a $300.00 per night adventure for a room. I was thinking the entire time having flashbacks of 30 years on the road as an entertainer, thinking, imagine my problem times 20 other entertainers! These entertainers had deadlines to meet and have to make the show come hell or broken slide outs! On our way, we blocked traffic for a while as Asheville makes these skinny turns to the interstate too small for trucks or large RV’s. I narrowly missed a median sign and but for the kindness of a stranger might still be there trying to avoid scratches on my fifth wheel.
In my thirty years on the road as a professional Frisbee Flying Disc player I ran into the best and worst acts on the road in many different venues. I learned first-hand how hard it is to market and sell an act. I had learned the hard way from town to town and had an understanding at the marvel I was about to witness.
I pulled into the Venardos Circus on the last leg of their US tour in the middle of their two-week showing in Asheville. I was awed by the neatness, cleanliness and visual appeal of the set up. They kept their lot squeaky clean. I was amazed by the signage, the generators, the vendor trucks and the way the entertainers all had many different hats to wear.
Every single entertainer was seasoned often many generations of life-long Circus and stage performers. This was a rare treat for any town. Every single entertainer came from larger shows that swap talent. They swab the decks and wash the floors. The owner of the Circus takes the garbage out at the end of each show. Behind the glitz and glamour of being famous in their own specialty arts, they each swabbed the stage, set up the tents, sold the concessions, worked the ticket booths and worked this show 24/7! You could tell it. Each act could carry an audience on their own for hours at a time. However, Venardos produced a show that was nothing short of a Broadway or Vegas show with incredible timing and professionalism! There is no wonder that he is booked for FORTY-FIVE MORE dates all over the United States for the 2020 season. They had to easily work 16 hour days full blast all day!
His hospitality was amazing. He extended an invitation for me to live with his team for the rest of his duration in Asheville. I had to think of the love I have for my wife and had to leave because of her schedule. I did not want to leave!
I understand Kevin is looking for a good sound and light person! His last stop is at my favorite town in St Augustine, Florida to kick off his 45 town 2020 season! He will be performing on the same stage as many of the most popular musicians of all times have performed at The St Augustine Amphitheatre! When I lived in St Augustine, I could barely feed myself and my favorite ex-girlfriend! Kevin has twenty teams to feed and their families!
Circus families are the greatest entertainers and athletes of our time. You have to see it to believe it!

I'm off to just about my favourite place - Greece - so won't be around for a week or so. We've visited many parts of Greece but this time we're going to the little island of Paxos, for the first time.
This isn't a new picture but one taken in Kefalonia a couple of years ago. It won me 2nd place in the holiday company's photo competition. The prize was a Nikon D40 which I sold to part fund my Panasonic G1, earlier this year.

En novembre 2018, des dizaines de milliers de “Gilets jaunes” se révoltent contre Emmanuel Macron après qu’il a supprimé l’impôt sur la fortune et alourdi les taxes sur le diesel. Chaque samedi, ils manifestent leur colère autour des ronds points ou sur les champs Elysées. Refusant de changer de politique, les Macronistes vont s’appuyer sur la police pour contenir et réprimer ce qui s’apparente à la plus grande révolte populaire depuis mai 1968. Un maintien de l’ordre qui fera en un an plus de 2500 blessés coté manifestants dont 400 blessés grave, et près de 2000 côté policiers et gendarmes. Au point de s’apparenter à un maintien du chaos?
Le 1er décembre 2018, après deux samedis de manifestation dans toute la France sans réponse politique, la colère des gilets jaunes explose. A Paris, les manifestants prennent d’assaut l’arc de triomphe et se postent à son sommet. Des images qui feront le tour du monde. Pour la première fois depuis le début du mouvement, le pouvoir tremble. À partir de ce moment-là, le gouvernement va durcir sa doctrine du maintien de l’ordre.
Le samedi suivant, l’exécutif va mobiliser près de 120 000 gendarmes et policiers. Désormais, le mot d’ordre, c’est d’interpeller un maximum de manifestants. Pour cela, le gouvernement va mettre en place des DAR : Détachements d’Actions Rapides. Le 8 décembre à Paris, les forces de l’ordre vont procéder à près de 1200 interpellations, 3 fois plus que le samedi précédent.
Elles vont également réprimer les manifestants au moyen de matériels considérés par la législation internationale comme des “armes de guerre”. Depuis 2016, la police française est en effet dotée du Lanceur de Balle de Défense 40, du fabricant suisse Brugger et Thomet. Une arme intermédiaire capable de projeter une balle en caoutchouc avec une puissance 2 fois supérieure à une balle de tennis lancée à 200 km/h. Autre arme dangereuse: la GLI F4, une grenade lacrymogène contenant 26 grammes de TNT.
En un an, sur les 2500 gilets jaunes blessés, près de 350 le seront gravement par ces armes. Une trentaine se retrouveront éborgnés, six auront la main arrachée.
Face à la répression mise en place par le gouvernement, la France est rappelée à l’ordre par les Nations-Unies en mars 2019. À Genève la Haut-commissaire aux droits de l’homme et ancienne présidente du Chili Michèlle Bachelet dénonce devant l’ambassadeur français les violences policières lors des manifestations : ” En France, les “Gilets jaunes” ont protesté contre ce qu’ils considèrent comme leur exclusion des droits économiques et d’une participation à la vie publique. Nous encourageons le gouvernement à poursuivre le dialogue et demandons urgemment une enquête approfondie sur tous les cas rapportés d’usage excessif de la force”.
Une remontrance dont le pouvoir français ne va pas tenir compte. Sur 456 plaintes pour des cas de violences policières contre des «gilets jaunes», seulement 19 ont fait l’objet de poursuites de la part de l’Inspection générale de la police, la police des polices.
Point d’orgue de ce maintien de l’ordre, la mort de Zineb Redouane, 80 ans. Le 1er décembre 2018, à Marseille, des gilets jaunes manifestent. La police réplique à coup de grenades lacrymogènes. Au 4ème étage de son immeuble, Zineb Redouane est gênée par les gaz. Quand elle se rend à sa fenêtre pour fermer les volets, elle est touchée au visage par une grenade lacrymogène tirée par un policier. Le gouvernement niant toute responsabilité dans ce décès, l’affaire est entre les mains de la justice.
De l’émouvant témoignage de Jérôme Rodrigues, éborgné par un tir policier place de la Bastille le 26 janvier 2019 aux révélations de Jean-Pierre Mignard, avocat ayant échoué à convaincre Emmanuel Macron d’indemniser les victimes de violences policières en passant par les regrets de Michel Delpuech, préfet de police de Paris durant les cinq premiers mois de la révolte, cet épisode revient sur la répression de la plus spectaculaire révolte que la “France d’en bas” ait déclenché depuis mai 1968.
