Candy and Brandy with Bashful Bear for Smile on Saturday theme of Odd One Out. 👧🐻👧

Elephant Seals on the beach near San Simeon, California.

Hermit Thrush singing away constantly on a branch in the woods near the old airfield bike trail in Algonquin Park. Was lucky to catch a semi sharp shot of the Hermit mid-discord like song! If you've ever heard one of these signing in the forest it isn't something you'll likely to forget as it is almost opposite to the song of other warblers / songbirds! Thank you again for everyone who views and comments!

Smile on Saturday

Actually more than one if you look very carefully. A little song to help:

Smile On Saturday - Odd One Out

Two male American Wigeons swimming one direction and a male Hooded Merganser swimming the other direction. :-)

for Macro Mondays, four pencils made of fragrant wood and a red aquarelle crayon, on a wooden box.

On Friday March 25th, it was decided to get some stored Metra equipment out of the city to better accommodate our track department as they embark on a tie project on the Elgin Sub this spring. One underutilized location is our Antioch Coach Yard, which with post-COVID schedules leaves us with some room to spare. Here's METX 11 pulling a dozen oldies north over the Fox Lake Sub diamond at Grayslake. The F40's are all older unrebuilt models that have ben pushed out of service since the coming of the Amtrak F59PHI's and were used primarily on the Union Pacific purchase of service lines.

Five washers and a 1 centime piece.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)

Looking like a lighthouse, this building in the city can't possibly have been used as such, but I have no idea what it is ..

Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland.

Orchid cultivars of Thai origin, all lined up with one showing a little individuality.

And it comes form a hot spring in Italy :-) Odd is never rare, remember :-)

This spotted towhee was flirting with another in our yard. It flew from the fence to the tree, then down to this thing - it's an old hospital screen that my wife picked up when the hospital modernized. It's now used in our garden as a support - of plants in additional to these random birds!

Captured for Macro Mondays theme: Odd. HMM everyone!

Posted for Fence Friday ...... HFF

Mr L bought me some lovely flowers in gorgeous autumn colours and nestled hidden in the middle was this pink Gerbera. Very pretty in its own right but clashing badly with the rest. So Miss odd one out got taken out and put in her own vase. Thanks for viewing and have a lovely Sunday 💕

A couple of shots from the beach today.

Nuthatch are a neat Bird to watch.

Gull, yellow legs, avocets, and stilts all congregate on muddy little island.

An archive shot from a trip to Vietnam and the fantastic city of Hanoi.

One of the final shots from the bookstore, I found this to be an odd combination for subject matter on the table so captured it and made a great slide for Sliders Sunday.

For "Macro Mondays" ; theme : "Odd".

The 6/19/23 Macro Mondays theme is Odd.

Four screwdrivers are Philips, and one screwdriver isn't.
