This building seems to consist solely of a front wall, complete with windows and front door; but nothing else. Seen in Marsaxlokk, Malta.
The shorelines of Sucia feature many odd rock formations. The sandstones and conglomerates that form the bedrock are not that hard, but certain minerals have caused the surface of the formations to become very hard. Where erosion breaks through this hard outer layer, it quickly hollows out fantastic caves and holes.
The sun had set a long way to the left when these pink flares showed up behind Digby Neck, rather mysterious. It really was 'the blue hour' though perhaps not *quite* this blue. :)
The Odd Duck of Sandpipers
Spotted Sandpiper (Actitis macularius) - Biolab Road, Canaveral National Seashore, Merritt Island, Titusville, Florida
"Odd Duck", you say?
Well, first of all this guy is one of the few freshwater Sandpipers, so perhaps they would be better named Dirt, Mud or Rockpipers.
But perhaps the most unusual thing about these guys is that the fem is boss. And after she lays her eggs, she leaves her mate to look after them, while she flits about town having affairs with multiple other mates, and laying additional clutches of eggs to be cared for by up to 4 or 5 mates at a time! Yow!
And if that’s not bad enough, she comes equipped with sperm storage capabilities, so males caring for her eggs, may be caring for another male's offspring.
Talk about being cuckolded,
these gals are masters of that sport!
Featherlegged Orb Weaver - Uloborus glomosus (female, ~4 mm body)
An odd little spider that I did not recognize. Friends on BugGuide knew it, see:
bugguide.net/node/view/2410168
Uloborus glomosus is the only member of the genus expected in this area.

I'm actually not fond of the truck being there. I wish they wouldn't place these "props" around the ghost town. Not sure if they are authentic to that town or not, but they get moved around once in awhile. Though the summer tourist probably like them.
Some pictures taken by the late Michael Cleary. Late 1983.
33 025 'Sultan' stands at Kensington Olympia, facing towards Clapham Junction at the head of an odd train. See below for an explanation of what the train was.

Noticed this tree looking a bit odd when on my travels back from 'Focus on Imaging 2013'... still, something about the image I like... I think!?
Appeared to have recently fallen off of a rotting log.

I think we all like the odd vehicle in any fleet and this particular vehicle is no exception! ARRIVA Kent & Surrey 3707 LK55 ACY is seen on Cranleigh Road as it approaches Wonersh whilst working route 53. Saturday 16th May 2015.
This vehicle was originally part of the 'Ride Pegasus' school bus scheme which was operated by First Berkshire on behalf of Surrey CC. The vehicles themselves were owned by Surrey CC and leased to the operator which in this case was First. However due to unsustainable costs the operation ceased in July 2010 and the buses loaned to other operators. LK55 ACY was the only one of the batch leased to ARRIVA Guildford & West Surrey and has gained a fleet number and a new coat of 'corporate' paint!

In 1974 Haymarket’s allocation of class 40s increased significantly with the transfer of several examples from North West England. The odd one out was 40142, the only box headcode example to be allocated outside the LMR, arriving in May 1974.
Here it is seen setting off from platform 2 at Haymarket station with an Edinburgh to Aberdeen service on 1st April 1977. The coal yard in the background is now offices with a tram line in front!
Odd couple. This is the second day I've seen this male wood duck with the female mallard. Whenever the male mallard approaches, the wood duck chases him away and is very protective. I think the female is flattered with all the attention

I have so many scary movie concepts bouncing around in my head, that I wanted to make a run at for this challenge. But when it comes down to it...I just don't think I'll have time.
I really wanted to re-create the shot of Norman Bates from the very end of psycho...the crazy eyes and smile. But I don't look like Anthony Perkins ;) Also the house used in Texas Chainsaw Massacre is near here...but I just don't have time for that right now.
So y'all get this! I'm going with Carol Reed's noir film Odd Man Out (Not what you thought looking at it?) ;)

With about 2 seconds before the clouds screwing me over entirely, CP 6256 leads a westbound CWR out of Lambton Long-Hood-Forward on a nice September afternoon. It was a very odd but cool sight for sure, I was told 6024 was the original leader (with 6256 trailing behind in the rear facing position) but ran into problems on the Mactier Sub somewhere which necessitated 6256 to lead. I assume there was not an available wye to put the units in the right position so they just said screw it.
Today's consist of the Merehead to Chichester stone (seems to be a Tuesdays only service of late) includes a single red liveried Touax box wagon in the otherwise drab Mendip Rail box rake, seen approaching Bedhampton, just outside Havant behind 66533.
