Many odd allocations over the last week or two, nearly all of them in a good way! 69123 was my steed for the afternoon of a 13 that turned into a 2.
Seen at Scatterburn on Saturday 18th March 2017.
Giraffe's are another animal I have not seen before and was excited to see.
I have seen them on tv and photos but it wasn't until I saw them up close did I realsie how different looking they actually were.
I was quite mesmerized by their long legs, that neck and the way they walked. What odd creatures. Beautiful but odd.
Not because I'm a slave to compositional rules but the three fishing rods and the curves of the beach caught my eye.
"The Odd Wood"
"Alice, i don't think we are in Wonderland anymore. RUN!"
i built this diorama for a toyphotography.com challenge. second pic is BTS.
well i don't think my pic followed any geometry rules of composition for the #TP_Geometry challenge, (i really tried!) other than the rule of thirds, but after two days shooting and another processing, i finally got something which approximates what my brain saw.
the apple i found while on a walk, i loved the colour and texture of the dried fruit.
while out exploring the desert i found the "tree" on the site of an marijuana grow which had been destroyed by the sheriff's office. (big problem in the mojave) it is the roots of the plant with ground dried moss glued to it to look like foliage.
the skulls and bones are from owl pellets.
base was pink XPS foam. painted first with white gesso. then covered with a mixture of spackle, mod podge, paint and mojave desert sand.
the objects are all free standing with more sand added at the end to add shape to the ground.
it was an odd day when this picture was taken. and, this is an odd fence. what the heck is that curly thing in the background? i remember half my face was numb after getting a cavity drilled and thinking it was a swell idea to meet my husband for coffee right afterward. i kept having to sip the coffee sideways. i think that's what started this day off so oddly.
happy fence friday!!
This old fella is top of the pecking order in our local ponds
very big mallard Cross???
Can anyone identify ?
What happens when you're out of cab cars? The answer is throw on anything that is CSS equipped that isn't on the shop list. In this case, 4109 leads 1000 across the Passaic just before 7:30am on a run to Hoboken. Also of note, always check SunCalc BEFORE picking your spot out where the Sun might be on the other side...
Carrying the fast fading Virgin red stripe livery, 43307 pauses outside the impressive Carlisle Citadel Station Roof. The Powercar was tailing 1E19 from Edinburgh but, after a run over the Newcastle-Carlisle line, would do the honours into Kings Cross. This powercar was the only vehicle in the consist to not be carrying the full VTEC colours.
Odd patch of rainbow'ish light on the right is what was actually there in the sky, it's not camera/lens.
British Airways Airbus A319-131 G-EUPJ is the odd one out of the four 'planes given 'retro' colours for the airline's centenary, in that the other three are Boeing 747s (which design actually carried the three different liveries they now wear), whereas the BEA livery pre-dates this type by around 50 years! The nose and cockpit area actually looks somewhat reminiscent of the Hawker Siddeley 'Tridents', which wore this livery from their introduction in the 1960s.
Probably one of the more interesting moves I've seen, an IHB mother and slug set lead a UP Tier 4 ACe through La Grange, Illinois
