José’s Island - Freely inspired by José Saramago’s tale about an unknown island, this dance spectacular tells the story of a man who asks the King for the loan of a ship so that he can go to find the unknown island, but there are many islands. With lyricism, subjectivity, movements, sounds and colours, this poetic show is directed at all age groups... Be adventurous in search of something new, or frightened of the risks? And discover, sometimes, that we might even be on our own “unknown islands” without even realizing. Director: Ana Bottosso, Grupo Danceato.

We're Here! photographing obstacles. But, while out looking for obstacles to photograph, I ran into an obstacle: the batteries were dead in my beat-up old Konica-Minolta DiMage Z2. Here is a picture to show those batteries being charged, so they will be ready for the future!

That old power cord, by the way, belongs to a ceramic Christmas tree with a bulb inside beaming light out through colorful plastic flame inserts. My mother made the tree from a mold back around 1965 and signed the base with her name. Every year my wife leaves it to me to unbox and plug in.

Always nice when obstacles are well-placed, adding fun for those with big-wheeled bikes (or riders who are super-agile with small-wheeled bikes who also don't have to make up for lack of... anything and are not so vain as to give a damn that some refer to them as clowns on clown-bikes).
