Three of the many Psycho Ceramics manufactured by Kreiss in the 1950/60s. The two on the ends are ash trays and the center figure is a mug.

When Side-Snoot Sally sneezes, her head spins in a circle due to snot-rocket power. This is a fake trading card inspired by the likes of Weird-Ohs and Nutty Mads. I've made several of these and plan to do more. See others in my blog.
Note: I have 5 Marx Nutty Mad Heads here. I have seen others. I am looking for other heads and have spare cars just for such heads, so if you can help a mad man out please do.

Big B's Nutty Generals. Left to Right, Col Allistair McDuff, Lieutenant Sake Sake and Manuel Maracca
The early 1960s saw a rash of crazy caricature monster kits spearheaded by Hawk’s “Weird-Ohs”. The Marx toy company cashed in on the craze with a bunch of inexpensive, one-piece polyethylene figures. Those in the first batch were resculpts of the Hawk “Weird-Ohs” (which really looked a lot better than the Hawk model kits). Marx quickly followed these with their own collection of bizarre characters called “Nutty Mads”. The Thinker was one of the crazy figures released in 1963.
This was a pretty simple custom, with just the magazine, roll of toilet paper and the tile floor added to the basic figure. It was common practice to give the funny monsters skin colors from all over the spectrum, so I had no problem picking gray to emulate the original statue. I airbrushed acrylics over a primer coat of polyurethane varnish. The mag is actually a BPMS Bulletin, the monthly model club newsletter I produced for more than five years; I just reduced it in Photoshop. The floor was cut from Evergreen sheet stock.
Completed in 2011.
Nutty Mad plastic friction go cart.
This toy is the only one of this type of Marx Nutty Mad I have seen in the flesh. I bought it so many years ago I have lost track of who I bought it from. I hunted one down on the internet that was in the same condition so I can not tell what is missing or how it should look. If you have one or better yet a box, I would LOVE to hear from you and see more photo's.
Green Head Fred Marx Nutty Mad friction car. Take a close look at that mug, they used Fred Flintstones head on this Nutty Mad. I swear I saw a Barney head on one in Chicago one time that some Psycho was asking the moon for.
Photo's and information provided by R.H.B. 1994. These are one of a kind
prototypes of more unproduced "Nutty General" type 6" plastic figures.
They never made it to the molds and along with many other cool toys are just
never going to be seen outside of folks like you and I who share the info
and photo's they have. I was offered these items to add to my collection but
could not afford to buy them, so they set in some collectors hide out never
to be seen again. Wish I had more info and better photos to show you.
The info given to me was "The following are photo's of prototype figures for
Marx's "Cartoon Soldiers" (AKA "Nutty Generals") series, as prototype's,
these figures are on-of-a-kind items. All are carved painted sculptures and
not injected plastic."
Leaky Boat Louie or Manny the Reckless Mariner as he is called as a Nutty Mad, Freddie Flameout, Digger, Wade-A-Minut (the Wild Starter)and Davey
One of the rarest of all nutty mad items is the Marx Nuttykin. This is the only one I have ever seen and I got it from a hard core Fairykins, TV-Tinykins, and Disneykins collector. This man had gotten me many super rare colors and odd Marx items and was one of the most knowledgeable Marx collectors I had ever talked to. All of this took place in the 80's when my friend could still get together with Marxs workers and such.
This "ROCKO THE CHAMP" is hard plastic like all the "Kins" Marx made and is 1 5/8" tall. Standard Rocko is 7 1/4" Mini Rocko is 4 3/4". Please let me see photos of more if you have them.
