The Department of Nursing bestowed the nursing class of 2016 with symbolic pins and a presentation of flowers. Senior nursing major Amazing-Grace Ighedo received the Sister Mary Edward Award in Nursing.

The Brady School of Nursing honored its 2016 graduating class with a pinning ceremony held Thursday, May 5, at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church. Thirty students were honored for completing the requirements for their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. During the pinning ceremony, they were congratulated by Shorter University President Dr. Don Dowless and Brady School Dean Roxanne Johnston. The students also were presented with their nursing stoles, cords, and pins. Nursing faculty member Dr. Kriss Douglass led the students in the Blessing of the Hands, praying for the students to be the hands of Christ throughout their nursing careers.
