On Monday, October 14, 2019, the College of Nursing and Alumni Relations came together for an evening celebrating the success of our College of Nursing alumni.
The St. Michael's Hospital School of Nursing operated from 1892 to 1974. Pictured here are the first graduates of the class of 1894.

"SPEEDING UP."
The history of speed since the earliest motor-driven vehicle appeared on the roads is traced in the film "Speeding Up," which, on behalf of Messrs. F. W. Cave, Ltd., the New Zealand agents for American motor accessory manufacturing firm of Thompson Products, was shown privately at the Regent Theatre. The film dealt with some of the most outstanding events in the history of motor racing, and proved of great interest to the large audience. The latter portion of the picture was devoted to the manufacture of accessories and gave an interesting insight into the methods employed at Detroit and other works .[14]
