We did a night dive in the Maldives where liquidized fish was released into the water. The Nurse sharks (Nebrius ferrugineus) were going all over the place looking for a meal that was not going to happen! At least they are bottom feeders and not a threat to the divers.
The snow accents the statue of this warrior nurse. This was taken on the first snow day of 2021.

ince the 1700s there have been nurses in the U.S. military, tending to injured soldiers and providing comfort to those who would not survive. The significance of the nursing profession in the U.S. army has been honored by a memorial to military nurses near the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. The memorial is a bronze statue of a nurse caring for a wounded soldier in remembrance of all nurses who served in all wars.
Military nurses have served in numerous wars, including the Spanish-American War, both World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. More recently, they have served with NATO troops in Haiti, Bosnia and Kosovo. In 1901, the Army Nurse Corps became an official branch of the U.S. army.
In World War I, more than 10,000 nurses served in the army. They traveled by ship for two weeks to reach the ports of Europe. Between 200 and 300 nurses died in the war, either from diseases such as influenza and scarlet fever or from military accidents and enemy weapons.
In World War II, 67 Army nurses and 16 Navy nurses were held for three years as prisoners of war by the Japanese. During the Vietnam War, recent graduates of nursing school were sent overseas and spent their first year on the job as military nurses.
Today, nurses who serve in the Nurses Army Corps sign up for a tour of duty of 6 months. Active duty nurses may be sent back to serve several times. One third of the nurses in the corps are men and ages range from 20 to 60. There are ten different nursing specialties in the corps, providing care for soldiers and their family members.
The nurses that serve the military do so for duty honor and country. They are wives, mothers and daughters who sacrifice for this country.
The way nurses are portrayed in movies, the news and the media amuses me. Can anyone name a single movie in which the nurse is not portrayed as a nymphomaniac, incompetent, sinister or criminally stupid? Even advertisements for nurses are amusing. Can anyone show me an advertisement for scrubs or medical supplies or even a nursing school that does not have girls in scrubs that look as though they just walked out of the Barbizone modeling agency?
Nurses are incredible people. They can handle a human mess that would make a soldier puke, and then eat spaghetti out of a tupperware bowl in the dictation room. They help people progress from tragedy to resolution, from trauma to acceptance. Every day that a nurse spends on the job is an opportunity to make a truly life altering difference for another person. It's a profession like few others.

We have just returned from The Spirit House.
Baby Mickey, Mama, Rocky and The Zoomer
have all convinced Nurse Nun that they are
starving and desperately need food and
they could possibly collapse and die
at any given moment if not hand
fed more kibble quickly ..;-)~
Now lets not forget at The Spirit House
they all consumed vast amounts of
kibble and a dozen hot-dogs.
Very clever manipulators
these temple dogs.
Mama had just scolded Mickey for his
close interactions with the primates !
One second later they both took
off after a petulant primate .;-)

DAMN, it’s finished. This took me 2 whole days! WHOLE as in only stopping to eat and sleep and well -.- you know.
I think it turned out ok (: I could have made it bigger though -__-
I'm pretty proud of the hair, although I cheated D: Since I don’t have a tablet I took Sailor Moon’s hair (ahahah), made a sketch over it, drew the strands and filled it with color :O But it still took a long time to do that x.x (my hand hurts like hell)

Nurse Ratched is from Cuckoos Nest. This is a rather important component of a railroad car coupling mechanism.
Remembering the buildings near the 'Nurses Walk' alleyways (The Rocks area, Sydney).
The walk honours the nurses that worked and regularly travelled between both of the Sydney Hospitals, located in the area from 1788 to 1816. The Nurse's Walk winds through a network of lanes and passageways at The Rocks
Hattie was young and innocent and glad to be graduating the nursing program, but when she got her new uniform she was a little disappointed to discover that her name had been misspelled. She would come to be well known in the area as "Nurse Hottie", a nickname that the Nuns were not very fond of.
(The original B&W photo, which is not mine, is on display at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington WV. Selective colors were added with Photoshop. The original photo's content was not changed except for the words "Nurse Hottie" were placed on her uniform. )
North Vancouver. The nurse log is one of the coolest things in the forest in my opinion. In this case it's a stump not a fallen tree..still cool to see a big tree growing out of the top of a stump 5 times the size of set tree
Puppet Nurses are monsters found in the Silent Hill game series. They are real nurses that have been possessed. This one was visiting London Film & Comic Con.

In my bed, and the nurses stop by to look. A few nurses and doctors speak English, but mostly we add each other on WeChat and use the translation option to communicate.
