Maori proverb..
It's fascinating (to me...) that the source of all the light in this picture wouldn't reflect in the water at all.
Veiled by clouds and morning mist, the sun looks like the "red giant" that science tells us it will one day become. Not that you or I will ever see it.. Or our children's children's children's children's children's children's children... What is it they say - 8 billion years or so? Really?
Know what? I ain't gonna worry 'bout that right now..
Ain't gonna ruin today worrying whether my hopes for the future are gonna come true, or go up in smoke as the swelling sun engulfs Venus and boils the seas away. I'm gonna do what I can to make them come true, and whatever happens, happens. We plan and work for the future, and hope for the best all the time. Man's gotta have a dream, don't he?
This is not on the outside. This is from the inside. Unless mebbe you are on the other side. I hope you're not. But if you are, you are welcome to knock on the door and I will offer you some coffee or tea, or better yet (at this moment): a cold beverage! ^_^
ps. If you pull that rope down then the slidy-blinds will go UP. This permits you to see what's going on out there. I'm not gonna chance it, in case (see tags) it is, like, monsters or whatnot.
this is the 3rd times i have to reinstall my PS :)
Sality has tortured my laptop system :D
oh sality... sality...

Moomba Boats @MoombaBoats Dealer Dry Dock Marine was recently featured in Alliance Wake Magazine "In Store" section. This is a fun interview of Moomba Boats Northeastern Indiana water sports boat dealer. Read on to learn more about the brand of "No Worries" Dry Dock Marine is representing in Angola, Indiana.
Alliance: Have you ever been to Santa Claus, IN? Have you ever seen any “elves” or evidence of a “workshop”?
Dry Dock Marine Center: No, we have never been to Santa Claus,
IN. However, Captain Terry Archbold (owner/founder) has his own kind of
workshop that is currently working on a 1959 Owens Cabin Cruiser
(Chicago Girl), 1956 17’ Chris Craft, and a 1947 17’ Chris Craft. I have
a feeling that the handful of guys that work for our Restoration
Department would not like to be called elves.
A: This isn’t your first year in business. When did Dry Dock Marine open its doors?
DDMC: We opened our doors 26 years ago. In 1987, Dry Dock was a
3,200 square ft. showroom and carried Baja and Mercury. Now in 2013 we
have expanded to over 32,000 square ft. spread out over 15 acres, which
includes a fiberglass and wood restoration department, a service center
that can accommodate up 16 boats at one time, a fully stocked pro shop,
71 dock slip rentals, six storage buildings and more than 20 full and
part time employees.
A: You have a slogan, “Your Ultimate Family Boating Center.” What’s the meaning behind it?
DDMC: We are your ultimate family boating center; we carry
inboards, outboards, pontoons, wakeboards, kayaks, stand up paddle
boards, and so much more. If you want something for your boat or
something to complete your family vacation, more than likely you’ll find
it on our shelves. If not, we can have it in your hands in a day or
two. To us a boat is the best place to spend quality time with your
family. We have a great sales staff; Cyndi Fremion, Chris Patton, Zach
Lear, and Chris Archbold spend as much time on the water using the
products and living the lake lifestyle as they can, so when they tell
you about a product it’s believable because they are experienced water
enthusiasts. Our service department is also certified, trained and time
tested, so if your boat has midseason problems our quality service team
has your back, Jack!
A: Your dealership has a high standard in boat lines. Which boats do you carry and how did they end up on your showroom floor?
DDMC: We carry Nautique and Moomba wakeboard boats, Harris
Flotebote, Bennington Pontoons, and Chaparral Boats. We feel that
Nautique sets the standard in performance and quality in wake boats and
that Moomba provides a “no worries” experience with characteristics like
value, performance and reliability. As for pontoons Harris FloteBote
and Bennington are high end, well built and again the best products in
their class and the same goes for Chaparral Boats. We are not K-Mart, we
want to sell the best products on the market, so we made sure to pick
up the best in class and provide our customer with first class
treatment.
A: Boats aren’t your only focus. You have a pro shop as well. Which brands find room in your pro shop?
DDMC: We are constantly looking to grow our pro shop, but for now
we carry Liquid Force, Slingshot, Straight Line, GoPro, Oakley, ATX,
Hobie SUP and Hobie Kayaks, EMAD Skateboards, and we are one of Land ‘N’
Seas’ largest accessory dealers in the Midwest.
A: You claim to have 101 lakes in your county. Which lake is close to home?
DDMC: Crooked Lake is a stone’s throw away, but we consider Lake
James our home. We have 71 dock rental slips and four acres of land
right on the water that we host multiple events at, including an antique
boat show, demo days and a car show. We reserve six dock slips for the
public to access the several restaurants that are located within walking
distance. We service all lakes in Steuben, Lagrange, and Noble counties
in Indiana and Branch County in Michigan.
A: What about local support? Does the dealership sponsor any local wakeboarders?
DDMC: We sponsor Thomas Herman, a 10-year-old shredder that took
2nd at Wake Games, 2nd at WWA Nationals, 2nd at WWA Worlds and 1st on
the Gravel Tour in 2012. There are a lot of people that wakeboard, surf
and ski in our area. Most of them will never compete in a contest of any
kind, so we are focused more on providing family friendly events for
people to learn how to wakeboard and wakesurf. We are very involved with
the Tri-State INT and we also help with a handful of wake related
fundraisers that gear around raising money for different causes and
promote the sports we love. This summer we plan on doing Girls Only Wake
Sessions, a wakeboard camp with Chris Laske, demos and lessons with
Adam Wensink (Nautique Rider/Rep), as well as clinics with Trevor
Hansen.
A: Where do you see the dealership in the next 10 years?
DDMC: We have some big plans for the future of this Marina. There
are a few things we ask our staff regularly – Are we working as
efficiently as we can? Are we meeting customers’ needs and wants? What
can we do today that will make us better tomorrow? So to answer your
question, like us on Facebook @DRYDOCKMARINECENTER and we will let you
know!
A: What’s the deal with Indy 500 winners dumping milk all over themselves? Do you guys do that every time you sell a boat?
DDMC: If you must know about the milk here you go… “The American
Dairy Association of Indiana is proud of its long relationship with the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The traditional Victory Lane Bottle of Milk
presentation represents a 70 year history between the dairy industry
and the 500-mile race. The bottle of milk presented to the winner of the
Indianapolis 500 mile race has been a traditional part of the victory
lane ceremony for over half a century.” We on the other hand carry a
line of Custom Shot Ski’s. You’ll have to ask one of the salesmen what’s
in their shot.

These are the images of a place called heaven and the surrounding area that exists on this earth. I do not want to give the location away as I want to see if you can guess where on the planet this place exists. Without breaching any data to find out.
What I found amazing is that this is a place I have been searching for such a long time. Then out of the blue I found it.
Weird or what?

Moomba's engineering mantra of "continuous improvement" found its way to the #1 selling value performance wake boat for 2013. The Mobius LSV has been redesigned to offer even more incredible wake performance, a deep wake surf interior with a completely new look, fiberglass floor with snap-out carpet and a new graphic exterior design. At 21 feet 6 inches, the LSV is literally the perfect size. Big enough to fit all your friends and help them excel in their favorite wake sports, but small enough to garage, trailer and handle with ease. This Moomba is loaded with the wake riding tools you need so take a minute on the new tooled-in transom seat to prepare for your next personal best. The Oz Tower joins other standard features like Digital Cruise Pro, 1800 pounds of upgradable Gravity III-D ballast, the Multisport Wakeplate, a Sony Sound System, a BoatMate Trailer, the Surf+ platform and the catalyzed Indmar Assault 330 horse power engine. You can even customize your LSV with a new pattern and the choice of exterior and interior gel coat colors. The industry's best selling value performance wake boat just got even better.

Finally caught up! Squeaked this one in before the bell tolled midnight!
Thought I'd try out a Happy Fence Friday. This isn't my first fence shot, just the first one done on a Friday!
This is the fence around a dam at a park near my house. I was shooting it from the inside (boring) when I noticed there was ice on the outside! So silly me, I hoisted myself up and out to get this shot!
No worries! I put the camera around my neck! :D
