Red squirrel photographed at British wildlife centre

Looking a little bit tacky here but this Robin is over two years old now which is a good age for a Robin. Always hanging around in the same area in one of my nature reserves I often go to visit. Ever since I first spotted this as a juvenile there has always been a dark patch below the right eye that is still there to this day. My little friend here has become very tame and always so very photogenic and hopefully will be around a bit longer yet. In the 1400's when the Robin was named the colour orange had not been classified and this is why we say that the Robin has a red breast and not orange. America has an eagle so it's about time the UK had the Robin as its national bird !!!!!!

We gon' fly, feel alright!"

A fairly warm October is ending, and we can feel the chill of November approaching. These little asters or Michaelmas daisies in Erba Park have been able to hold on until now, but their color has lost its summer brightness, and they are fading fast. The annual cycle moves on . . . Similar shots with a 35mm prime didn't turn out quite as well, so here's one with the kit zoom (on my backup camera). [DSC06261_lr_2000]

Thank you all for the clicks, comments & faves.

Legend says that Atlantis city was built by Poseidon, god of sea when he fell in love with a mortal woman Cleito. He made this city on top of a nearby hill and named it Atlantis. It is believed that he walked through these islands until he reached the biggest of them all- Atlantis and found it to be inhabited by people more beautiful and intelligent than rest of the world. It is here he first saw his future wife and fell in love with her.

If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Now that all the leaves are pretty much off the trees and the color is gone, I'm still going over all the shots I took when the fall color was at its best. I am my own worst critic and wrestle for hours on what really is a halfway decent shot; so bear with me, if nothing else, enjoy the color cause now it's gone!

Have a great week! :-)

Barred Owl, also known as the northern barred owl, striped owl or, hoot owl. No need to travel two hours now. I went five minutes up the road to have this beauty pose for two minutes before it turned around and flew. Taken at 7:02 a.m. Bucks County PA.

This is (now) my local crag, and the place my dear old Dad first took me climbing 14 years ago. I often pop up for sunset because it's frustratingly hard to photograph, and I'm never happy with my images!

This made me laugh happy though. Incredible how far we've come in a matter of months:

Expect that the captain aboard the ferry to Denmark, was reasonably "pissed off" when we didn't move our boat fast enough out of his way. Although they used the ship`s whistle / horn eagerly ...... But we were on a fishing trip and then everything else have to wait..... :-) Sorry Captain!

So now we finally get to the picture why I came to San Quirico D'orcia in Tuscany and why I'm standing here in the field in a pretty icy wind for more than an hour. With what feels like a 10 cm thick layer of loamy earth on and under my boots, which luckily I brought with me.

By the way, the name of this picture is the name of this old typical Tuscan stone house in the foreground. I think this is the most photographed building in this part of Italy. But be careful if you only feed the navigation system with this name. There are other places with the same name. I got to know one of them the day before, 130 km away from here.

For the picture I waited until the sun was a little bit higher and had gained a bit of power, because I wanted to see the fields glowing. To my great joy, this was then made possible for me.

I fell by the wayside like everyone else

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, but I was just kidding myself

Our every moment, I start to replace

'Cause now that they're gone, all I hear are the words that I needed to say

When you hurt under the surface

Like troubled water running cold

Well, time can heal, but this won't

So, before you go, was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather

So, before you go, was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?

It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless

So, before you go

Was never the right time, whenever you called

Went little by little by little until there was nothing at all

Our every moment, I start to replay

But all I can think about is seeing that look on your face

When you hurt under the surface

Like troubled water running cold

Well, time can heal, but this won't

So, before you go, was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather

So, before you go, was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?

It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless

So, before you go

Would we be better off by now

If I'd have let my walls come down?

Maybe, I guess we'll never know

You know, you know

Before you go, was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather

So, before you go, was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?

It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless

So, before you go

Tell me how I can do

To right all the wrong I've done

I can try to be strong

I can't hide all my faults

Oh I'll never say a word no more

I destroyed what we built before

Am I blind?

Am I wrong?

Tell me why

You are gone

Oh I'll never say a word no more

I destroyed what we built before

You left me all alone into pitch black

You left me to the ground, now I cry

I can try to be strong

But I can't hide all my faults

You can throw the stone at me

Blame me for all my sins

I see the chaos that I made

Now I blame myself

I swear I'll never be the same

But no one can goin' to save me

Am I blind ?

Am I wrong?

Tell me why

You are gone

'Now I'm Blind' ~Loner Deer~

A very busy summer schedule has kept me away from social media for a while, so it feels good to be able to post a new image again.

I came across this place completely by accident while trying to decide on a future international trip, and immediately knew that no matter where this place was located, I just had to photograph here. Now, this beautiful and unusual beach has instantly been added to my favorite places list. This is one of those locations I could easily photograph every day, for at least a month.

I will include all the details about this magical place in my next post.

We decided that it would be fun to go back to the "beginning" and noob it up for one night. That picture can be found here: Snowglobe: 😂 Noob Group Shot!.

This picture is what we all look like at the current day. It was fun to go back. ♥
