Enrico Rava instancabile come non mai alla bella età di 74 anni si mette alla guida di un quartetto formato da giovanissimi talenti e sforna per la stagione 2014 il Rava New Quartet.
Francesco Diodati è un chitarrista moderno che prende ispirazione dalla tradizione e guarda alla musica contemporanea, rock, folk, per sviluppare un linguaggio personale, combinando un approccio spontaneo alla melodia e al suono acustico con un brillante utilizzo di elettronica e effetti. Francesco appartiene alla nutrita schiera di giovani musicisti jazz in rapida ascesa, a livello nazionale e non solo, data la significativa esposizione e gli ampi riconoscimenti ottenuti oltralpe e negli Stati Uniti.
Considerato uno dei contrabbassisti italiani più creativi ed eclettici Gabriele Evangelista è l’ultimo dei talenti valorizzati da Rava. Scoperto ai ai seminari jazz di Siena, sta bruciando le tappe a velocità supersonica ed è richiestissimo per le sue straordinarie doti (precisione unita ad una sfrenata creatività ed ad un grande interplay) da molti musicisti italiani.
Enrico Morello è un batterista dal drumming raffinato, che può contare su una preparazione accademica e una serie di esperienze internazionali rare per tanti suoi coetanei e che coltiva lo studio del suo strumento con passione e professionalità. È un musicista curioso e rispettoso della tradizione, con uno swing stupefacente e grande sensibilità nella scelta delle dinamiche, che guarda al futuro, costantemente impegnato in una personale ricerca che parte dal jazz ma esplora tutto l’universo musicale.

Note, written on a piece of cloth and tied to a green bike that's been rusting on the bike rack for about 2 years.
The note explains that the bike isn't abndoned, the lock is just frozen. The other bike that the frozen lock is holding can be thrown away, but the owner will "fix up" the green one, presumably after someone else removes the lock.
The chain and other moving parts on this green bike are rusted into one solid piece.

It's amazing what a post-bereavement house clearance can throw up. My Dad had kept these long obsolete bank notes in his wallet - and now we will never know why.

I'm taking pictures of morning dew or another macro subjects in the fine morning.
These are notes that I took in variety of situations. Either sitting there on the bus having a think, reading, or making work. I will clarify what notes are in what context on the blog.
Does everyone else have a UFO stack? (Unfinished objects). I seem to accumulate UFOs when Indo a card class or play with different techniques. i am pretty sure I made this base after watching a video by Bibi Cameron where she used Distress Oxide sprays on photo paper. Her technique was much prettier and artsier and looser. But this is still better than horrible! So I finally turned it into a card. I always hate covering up technique-y backgrounds, so I just added a clean CZ sentiment. The background was made with a SSS Magnolia branches embossing folder. Perfect for this month’s Flickr challenge! Here’s to pulling out the UFO’s and turning them into a card!
