Another shot from Sunday. I said to Karen I want you to spin so I can catch the movement of your hair. Spinning in heals on a piece of cloth is not an easy feat, but Karen did it wonderfully. Thanks so much.

cwd2301 ~ Camera Toss Feeling dangerous? Toss your camera up into the air and see what happens. It can be a long-exposure, nighttime shot like these or a well-timed birds-eye shot like these. Any camera with a timer will work, so hopefully we can all participate (provided you don't mind throwing your camera up in the air.) CATCH!
In order to get a shot for camera toss the images were all blurry or black. So I selected the best of the not so good of my anxious hands ready to catch my P&S camera. My first toss the camera missed my hands and hit the ground. About 12 tosses later this was the least blurry shot. This was not easy but I really like the image. Hope the others in CWD has better luck with this assignment.
Like most of the assignments this was not easy.
This is probably bay far,The best portrait I've ever taken. It probably helps to have people around. That love to have their photo taken too :P

yesterday i skipped my photography class and decided to go take photos.
i then chickened out because of the four cars in the parking lot of a beach area, and proceeded to drive through five different cities, using a half tank of gas, not knowing where the hell i was going.
just taking random roads.
by chance i ended up back in my own city.
i also discovered many great photography locations that i probably will never be able to find again.

I love spring!! So many things are coming up in my garden. I love the way the earth is moved in order for this tulip to come up.
It takes effort to grow...don't be fooled into thinking it will be easy. It isn't.

I came across these images in the latest Time magazine. They were so compelling that I decided to animate them. Human tragedies, especially the distant ones, are not easy to relate. We feel compassion but we cannot really feel the way the other people do.
This was super fun but could be frustating. This was one of my first few shots as the balloon slowly flew above my head!
I shot this with the 50 mm without anycropping whatso ever so you can imagine how close they were.
Oh yes I did burn part of my eyelashes which I only realised at the end of everything, I must have gotten to close to the fires ;p
Do read this if you have the time - but let me warn you its super long ;p
I was practising shape-bokeh, and this was the "best" shot. Hard job.
I need to get better, thicker cardboard....
