It's finals week.
Which pretty much means I'll be gone for a week. Thought I should share...wish me luck!

Shot with an SB-600 off camera, upper right (just to give it a little glow). This is about half of the desk that my girlfriend built for me (she's awesome). None of this was set up (except the flash, of course)--I was putting off working on my finals and thought I should take a picture to share with Flickr.

For the Macro Mondays theme, Jan 25 2021, we were asked to photographically depict a song that we had related to during lock-down. The song that spun through my mind during that time was Queen's "Another one bites the dust".
During our lock-down in New Zealand, at one stage we seemed to have a lot of flies coming into the house (Summer), so we were singing the song as we swatted them.
Funny thing - I had only just managed to stop it singing around in my head all day, when this theme was suggested, but now it's back 😂 LOL

This is to prevent the involvement of myself, and/or any members of the groups stated to any such cases or the hassles and possible dangers presented with being involved at such cases. I would also like to stress out that I am NOT a part nor am I affiliated or connected in any way with any bus companies inside or outside the country. At times when you may experience any of employees of the operating company of the bus on the photo behave in an offensive manner; such that of reckless driving, lack of manners towards the passengers, incorrect and excessive charging of fare, and any other offenses they may commit, I do advise you report them to their respective managements for further action.

Bushfires are a widespread and regular occurrence that have significantly shaped the landscape over millennia. The predominant eucalyptus forests have evolved to thrive on bushfire. However, fires also cause significant property damage and loss of both human and animal life.
Indigenous Australians used to use fire to clear grasslands for hunting and European settlers have also had to adapt to using fire to enhance agriculture and forest management since the 19th century. Controlled burns, using Indigenous knowledge, are being used in many parts of the country to reduce the risk of out-of-control fires.
The land on the above photograph was seriously burnt several year ago, and fire restrictions are part of everyday life in many parts of Australia.
