Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host Kaori Takee were invited to come out to Hallmark Channel’s World Premiere Screening of ‘NORTHPOLE’ and the Special Musical Performance by ‘American Idol’ Champion Candice Glover.
The new movie stars Tiffani Thiessen, Josh Hopkins, Bailee Madison, Max Charles, Candice Glover, Robert Wagner and Jill St. John and will premiere on the Hallmark Channel as one of the original movies for the Countdown to Christmas, Saturday, November 15th.

Evie is Mayor of Evietown, her own little Christmas village. My wife is a fan of the Dept. 56 Northpole Series and the Christmas Story Set that came out last year. Evie is a fan of all of them. She is such a good helper.

I am at the North Pole, a personal goal of decades.
It was a warm day minus 27 but even so photography is a challenge- extra batteries kept warm inside the expedition jacket. The minus 100 degree baffin boots were a bit of an overkill but in locations like this it could have been necessary. The most difficult thing about photography deep in the Arctic is operating a camera. The expedition mitts have too little dexterity and so often need to be removed- heated liners solve the problem of short periods when the big down mitts are off.
There is perhaps 2-3 meters of ice under my feet and a few thousand meters of water under that. The ice groans, crackles, and snaps as it is moving constantly with the current. Amazing spot to visit and photograph even though a little uniform snow and ice as far as I could see.
A lifetime goal to stand at 90 N.

Mars Express HRSC view of Vastitas Borealis, a large polar plain surrounding Mars' northern ice cap (visible near the top of the image). The polar plains have been smoothed by the formation and removal of ice deposits over the last few million years, and most small craters have been destroyed and covered with frost-shattered rock. Only very large craters, such as the 147 km diameter Lomonosov Crater, remain prominent on the landscape. In addition, strong winds descending off the ice cap have produced vast dune fields, visible here as dark, spotty regions.
This image was taken near the northern summer solstice, a time when sublimation of the ice cap reaches a maximum.
The cold air and rising atmospheric density allow the formation of dense, highly structured haze layers and clouds in the skies over the ice cap.
This image was taken during Mars Express' 15,145th orbit of Mars, December 12, 2015. This image is a single frame taken using HRSC's panchromatic filter.

This is Pyramiden, a Russian ghost town left over from the coal mining days. They say a handful of people live there today (six, according to the last official count). We only saw it from afar. Svalbard tour companies no longer dock there, due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. We fully support that decision. Also, chances are there would have been too much ice to be able to dock anyway. It was still cool seeing it from the boat.
