The old Barnstaple to Bideford Railway Line is now a cycle/foot path making up part of the SW Coast Path.

There are still some reminders of the railway such as this arched bridge near Bideford.

The path was used to film a programme in the series James May's Toy Stories where a model railway was laid along the path.

Clovelly: Bob Scott took this picture of where you could see the old fishing quay that can be traced to its origins back to the 14th century as do many of the cottages and buildings in Clovelly. This is a working fishing village and whilst much of the income may now be derived from tourism, fishing still takes place here. In common with much of this coastline smuggling and shipwrecks were common place in the old days

I grew this from a cutting, thinking that it was a white rose. I must have mixed up the cuttings because it turns out to be this lovely old pink rose

Overlooking the River Torridge from the eastern side of the Old Bideford Bridge is this memorial bust to local man John Richard Pine-Coffin.

I do love weddings

You wait for ages for a domestic duck to go broody - and then three come along. All trying to sit on the same clutch of eggs.
