The Exmoor Coaster: One of the UK’s most spectacular open top bus rides, combining the wild beauty of the Exmoor National Park and the seaside harbour of Lynmouth.
With the traditional seaside resort of Minehead at one end, and the traditional fishing village of Lymouth at the other end, the Exmoor Coaster links seaside towns across the dramatic moorland, traversing the insanely steep Porlock Hill as it climbs between coast and moor.
In the high summer the route continues up into the Victorian town of Lynton and through more spectacular scenery to Combe Martin, Watermouth Bay and Illfracombe.
North Devon: Bob Scott took this picture of the Saunton Sand Beach where you could see everyone enjoying surfing, and if you want to learn to surf and need some space than Saunton Sands welcomes you. Two and a half miles of sandy beach breaks sheltered from northerly winds will guarantee space for all. Saunton provides its children with some nice long mellow waves which are excellent for beginners and long boarders alike. Please note that this beach is also very popular with wind surfers, kite surfers and kayakers, as you could see in the picture.
