The old Barnstaple to Bideford Railway Line is now a cycle/foot path making up part of the SW Coast Path.

The path runs over the old track bed and there are still a few reminders of the railway like the buildings at Fremington Quay where the railway ran close to the River Taw estuary.

More recently the path was used to film a programme in the series James May's Toy Stories where a model railway was laid along the path.

Classically styled toll-house on the A377 built post 1830 on what was until 1989 the main road between Exeter and Barnstaple in Devon. The house has recently been bought.

Speke's Mill Mouth waterfall in North Devon. Having gone to a lot of trouble to get the entire drop I decided it looked much nicer with some foreground interest - which hides the base!

This lovely church is in the village of Stoke, near Hartland in north Devon. An ND4 grad was used to keep the sky but the light was very flat so this is a combination of a B&W high contrast version, which supplies the luminance data and the original colour file....for the colour!

Walking down the path into Clovelly I realised that just one picture wasn't going to capture the view! This is a panoramic made up from six, upright, hand held, pictures. Black dots in sky and sea are seagulls and buoys.

This view is taken looking across the River Torridge towards the Old Bideford Bridge and Bideford itself.

In the foreground is the rotting hulk of a once substantial boat.

Lynmouth harbour with the tide out

This was staring at me while I was taking photos of the chicks. We use it to pump up the tyres on the tractors, cars, etc.

Sometimes looking in a different direction gives a different perspective. Just like life
