On the shortest day of the year it is time to present the best dark beers I have found this Christmas time. The "Pohjala Öö Imperial Baltic Porter" is of course Baltic to be exact.. but that is more North than most of Europe too! : )
"God Jul" from the Norwegian brewery that doesn't know how to make a poor beer, Nogne O, must be one of the best beers I have ever had.
So Happy Winter Solstice and cheers folks!
Green hills in Norway, smooth sloped, this is my idea of a peaceful countryside...
Así fueron muriendo los días y con los días los años, pero algo parecido a la felicidad ocurrió una mañana

An investment in 6 OOC Myllennium models has now resulted in three East Lancs Nordic conversions.
The Tyrer bus in the centre is not complete, but I threw the bits together to get a shot of the three models together - probably the only time that would be possible.
Both the Roadliner and Tyrer were spray painted to achieve the colour (not exact, but fairly close) and the metallic finish, whilst Iwan's X33 was my usual brush finish.
More to follow? Never say never, but three is enough for the moment. It's quite a job to sort one of these beasts.
Enchanting atmosphere near the town of Ólafsvík, Snæfellsnes (Iceland).

I hadn't intended sharing these two photos on Flickr but I guess they might be of interest to some people and they give you an idea of what the area is like close to the Little Mermaid statue.
I wonder what the views would be like from this Nordic Seaplane!
Nordic Seaplanes combine two pretty special experiences: Seeing Denmark from above while enjoying a flight with a seaplane.
Get a special view of the city aboard a Twin Otter seaplane. Aboard the plane, you will also get a good feeling of the proximity to Sweden just across the sound.
Nordic Seaplanes is the fastest way to get from Copenhagen to Aarhus. But they also offer a quick round trip between the two cities as a fun experience for people who simply want to experience flying aboard a seaplane. (From visitcopenhagen)
A quick build I did of a miniland figure on Cross-Country skis, just in time for the Winter Olympics. It's actually a model of a good friend of mine, though that's pretty much irrelevant.
