I Love to capture great moments. Here, it is Nordic Winter, given that I was born in the deep forest of Jämtland, Sweden.

Taken from the ferry to Svinoy and Fugloy in the Faroe Islands. It is amazing how quickly the weather and mood changes on these islands.
I was going through an old memory card when I came across this image as is on it.
This is the lake right across the street from the Nordic Center in Canmore Alberta.
Also note, I do not edit my images in the traditional sense. I use the various functions on my camera. This was shot with the High Contrast Black and White feature on my Sony a77.

Nordic Legends. Just offshore from the black sand beach in Vík, the basalt rock formations, Reynisdrangar, stick up out of the Atlantic like fingers. As the folklore goes, these spindly rock formations are actually trolls frozen in time. You see, trolls are night dwellers. They were trying to drag three ships ashore when they were caught in the sunlight and turned to stone. The world-famous Reynisfjara shore, near the village Vik in Myrdalur on Iceland's South Coast, is widely regarded as the most impressive shore in Iceland My 500 link 500px.com/yiannispavlis
