I thought this was one of the coolest rooms in the cave system. One of the colossal stalactites had decided it identified more as a stalagmite -- or rather, as nonbinary -- and has reannealed at center into a new configuration. It makes for a much more diverse and visually arresting scene, with the contrast highlighting the gravity-defying complementarities all around it.

On Saturday we went to a rally in Wollongong (one of twenty of so around the country) held to protest the Queensland governments abolition of healthcare support for trans kids. It's a federal election year here; the current government is looking at a 'review' of such provisions (despite already having done one a few years ago) and the opposition are almost certainly looking to abolish them, so it's likely to be a hot topic. As well as an unpleasant campaign all-around for anyone who is trans or gender-diverse.
The sign isn't one we made; some very nice people had made a whole set of fun signs that they were passing out to anyone who wanted one.
