As you can see by the contents of my stream I spend why too much time at Car shows! But stunning cars like these just continue to feed my addiction...
Nomad, a restaurant that focuses on Mediterranean-style share dishes and house-made produce. We arrived early for lunch and were seated in a table on the right with a camera bag on the floor.

7415: Aero Nomad
So I had a bit of free time today, meaning I could start work on the Everest set series.
I have a lot of fond memories of this set. It's one of the first Orient Expedition sets I bought and I bought it during a family trip to Legoland Windsor.
I wanted a bit more of a unique design for this revamp. Not so much of a generic hot air balloon design. The idea of multiple air bags seemed more appealing and a bit more heavy duty for a journey to Mount Everest.
The Lowell sphere has been used again, there's just something so handy about that technique. There aren't any nets on mecabricks, so I had to fashion my own by merging multiple rubber bands.
Eagled eyed viewers have probably spotted that there's and extra minifigure in this set revamp. It's Harry Cane!
I felt like it was only right to add him in for this final Adventure (plus he's been in every previous hot air balloon set as well and it felt like blasphemy not to include him).
The Nomads live in arid and rocky wasteland, where the only valuable resource is dim sunlight. Their solar farms produce electric energy which is then used to charge large battery tanks.
But the planet rotates, slowly but surely, and the Sun will soon be down. Farms are catching less light, thus producing less energy.
The Nomads will soon be out of power; and without power, they are doomed.

Today's story and sketch "by me" as you can see I am away from the man cave, this morning I am off on an emergency situation, at Five am I received an emergency alert from JB, on the emergency situation fax machine, asking for help locating four Martian Space Monkey Astronauts who were VIP guests, bunking at the Camp Pendleton Ranch House, awaiting transportation to Vandenberg Air force base, and as guests of the General, they were allowed to wander around the compound. But sometime late last night they wandered into the Generals garage and found his 1955 Chevy Nomad, which happened to have key's in the ignition. Which was just to much of a temptation for this group of intergalactic fly boys not to take off for a cruise around Southern California before having to return to Vandenberg Air Force Base in time for their flight back to Mars. And as you can see I caught up with the Astronaut joy riders in La Jolla and will have to be the one to give them enough cash to gas up the Nomad, so it will make it back to the base in time for their flight to Vandenberg, until next time taa ta the Rod Blog.
I sometimes dream of the nomadic life. I dream of being able to take of my shoes and wonder through life, taking it all it. No attachments and no decisions, except deciding where I want my feet to take me next.
This is a species of cuckoo bee. They lay their eggs in the nests of other bees. I found two around some ground nests in my garden.

The Nomad Class SHIPs are the backbone of the Explorer fleet - Each SHIP can be docked to two others for the long term interstellar travel.
Once at the destination the SHIP can split to explore various planets or two can continue onto their next destination.

So ends my most ambitious SHIPtember efforts ... Rule 1 of Government Spending: why have one, when you can have three, at triple the cost?
I based this build on the wonderful art form Colie Wertz's Nomad Cluster SHIP (www.artstation.com/artwork/mmov) which is a tri-SHIP combo.
Special thanks to wonderful Chris for feedback and early brainstorming, and all the folks in the Space Discord and Instagram.

1955 Chevrolet Nomad at the 2019 Back to the Fifties car show
Edited in Dreamscope and then layered over original as a texture.
Something is a bit off about this car. I called it a Nomad but the '55 Nomads had the full round wheel opening in the rear, not the style like this one but the top and quarter glass does look correct for a Nomad so not sure if someone just fixed bad quarter panels with ones for a regular wagon or if they put a Nomad top on a regular wagon. Just thought I'd mention all that before some purist takes me to task for calling it a Nomad.
I wandered from the road and became lost in the emptiness of the Tibetan plateau. Waking up from a nap, a group of children from a nomad school found me. They led me to the teachers who had studied English in India.
These teachers set up camp on the plateau and over the next two days the kids just started arriving one by one. Some had walked 3 days.
