I saw her out the corner of my eye. I moved 5 ft. from the edge. I snapped off about 5 quick shots. She leaned back and pushed up after about 10 seconds. Definitely could have been steadier and sharper, but I hate heights.

In hopes of seeing Wood Ducks (not), I went to the pond which was covered with sheer ice. This poor fellow had just been chased off by another goose and it skid for about 20 feet. Great entertainment for me, although not for him!

Hard to image that using a tripod to take a photo of this fountain would be a problem, but yes it was... I was told I could not use it by a security gaurd because it was on private property. Oh well... I just walked out into the street (no traffic whatsoever) and took the photo from there!
the black winged kite (elanus caeruleus) isnt a rare bird but for my experience they dont like to be approached by car.the plumage is also complicate for photography.i'll do better next time

Hay momentos que parecen triviales pero que dan gran sentido a nuestra vida. Una palabra, o la ausencia de ellas, una contestación desafortunada, un sentimiento de estar donde no se quiere estar, o quizás una revelación. No se sabe que es pero llega un instante en el que sientes que lo que creías que tenías, nunca lo has tenido. Quizás ese es el momento para dar un paso hacía adelante, caminar y no mirar atrás. Pero siempre hay un momento en el que te puede la curiosidad y deseas girarte para echar un vistazo desde la distancia. Mirar lo que hemos sido, nos enseña en lo que nos hemos convertido.

While walking the back fields, I wandered into this no trespassing area of this old abandoned farm. There were "No Trespassing" signs all along the fence and on the barn that I didn't even notice. Too focused on the shot, I guess.

Because I'd just climbed over it. I was having a really weird and unpleasant day health-wise and hadn't intended to take a photograph at all, but saw this and nipped over the fence on the track to a farm building and snapped it with my phone. Then I painted it, of course ! Things are a bit better now, so here we are !
A bit late for Fence Friday but never mind, there are no fences in my picture LOL. Happy Fence Friday and all the days ahead everyone !

Maybe he has a better service provider than I have, but I don't think there is cell service down in the gorge. I used my phone too...as a camera hahaha.
This is a natural sandy area at a plunge pool for a small waterfall.
