Thutmose III (Tuthmosis or Thothmes), sometimes called Thutmose the Great, was the sixth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty.

Officially, Thutmose III ruled Egypt for almost 54 years and his reign is usually dated from 28 April 1479 BC to 11 March 1425 BC, from the age of two and until his death at age fifty-six; however, during the first 22 years of his reign, he was coregent with his stepmother and aunt, Hatshepsut, who was named the pharaoh. While he was shown first on surviving monuments, both were assigned the usual royal names and insignia and neither is given any obvious seniority over the other.

Thutmose served as the head of Hatshepsut's armies. During the final two years of his reign, he appointed his son and successor, Amenhotep II, as his junior co-regent. His firstborn son and heir to the throne, Amenemhat, predeceased Thutmose III.

Probablemente se trata de la misma construcción, “Senti”, citada en la Piedra de Palermo, dentro de los anales de los reyes Den y Netjerykhet Djeser.

Blackened label of Horus Djer alluding to a mysterious building, perhaps a sanctuary, with two tall pillars or obelisks on its facade (?).

This is probably the same structure, “Senti,” mentioned on the Palermo Stone, within the annals of Kings Den and Netjerykhet Djeser.

Neferuptah or Ptahneferu (Beauty of Ptah) was a daughter of the Egyptian king Amenemhat III (c. 1860 BC to 1814 BC) of the 12th Dynasty. Her sister was the Pharaoh Sobekneferu (Beauty of Sobek).

Neferuptah is one of the first royal women whose name was written inside a cartouche. Although she never had the title king's wife, she must have had a special status; it is possible she was regarded as a future ruler.

Her titles included member of the elite, great of favour, great of praise and beloved king's daughter of his body.

A burial for her was prepared in the tomb of her father at Hawara.[4] However, she was not buried there, but in a small pyramid at Hawara. Her tomb was found intact in 1956 and still contained her jewellery, a granite sarcophagus, three silver vases and other objects.

Bro. Sam Hsaio - a muti-awarded Christian saxophonist from Taiwan ( known in Taiwan as Mr. Saxophone) shared his music and life-testimony in our church last night. I was assigned as our church's photographer for the event. I've been wanting to try something like this in mono for a long time so please indulge me :) any C&;Cs to help me improve will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks and to God be the glory!

Attended a very very good Parenting seminar in our church today. Shot at poor light. Didn't use flash, instead I used ISO 200.

The inner coffin is made in anthropoid form, where his mummy was placed inside. The inner cover depicts Sennudjem in his wordly clothes as he wears a long kilt of white linen. The coffin is decorated with funerary scenes of the protective goddesses from the Book of the Dead, while Sennedjem recieves provisions from the Tree Goddess.

I miss shooting Sophie. Finally got a chance to take some shots again this morning when Allan and Carrie came to participate in our Bouncing Blessings class in NMEC. She was actually approached by the other babies and was an attention grabber even when drinking milk as shown here.

It's scary playing with the color curves but I love using my presets for babies. Happy Sliders Sunday!!!
