……Nipped out to a local garden centre this afternoon - saw this sky so I quickly grabbed my #098 shot of the day. Taken on my phone in Apple RAW and edited in Lightroom. Alan:-)

The large-flowered dahlia 'Frost Nip' is a true queen.
It impresses with flowers in rusty orange. The white tips look like hoarfrost.
And that's fitting, because these radiant flowers bloom until the first frost sets in.
Dahlie 'Frost Nip'
This is the NZ native bird, the Kea. He is in fact a parrot and a very naughty one at that, responsible for many a car being damaged, due to their intelligence and curiosity. This one is in the Staglands Wildlife Sanctuary, one of my favourite places to visit in NZ. We fed him through the chicken wire and both my husband & I were given very sharp and painful nip with that very strong beak - ouch!
Spotted on a nice autumn sunday walk around the lake. This perfect red fly agaric [Amanita muscaria] was beautifully lit by the sunshine and the little missing piece made me think - are there any animals which eat this poisonous mushroom?
Auf unserem herbstlichen Sonntagsspaziergang um den Franziskussee zwischen Brühl und Erftstadt wollte dieser Fliegenpilz unbedingt auf's Bild. Wer hat ihn wohl angefressen?
The mom was on the perch first and then her child flew in wanting to be there too. She thought he was a bit too close and reprimanded him with a little nip on the leg. He eventually moved over to the smaller branch.

It's steeper than it looks. A handy ginnel between Judges Lodgings and the castle. In old times a judge could hear a case, pass sentence and still be back in time for elevenses without breaking into a trot.
Sorry about keep flashing the bra it would seem it must be my favourite one. On a good note I managed to get the corset totally done up.
Have to say it helped with the old back issue a little so a good excuse to wear it
