The third of 11 8x8 vignettes featuring the new Ninjago CMF series I created for the Brickfanatics website.

A quarter of the size and it still took a while to build, but am thrilled to have completed this one.

I heavily referenced the instructions as I don't own any of the 3 models. Each level has a detailed interior too, so please check out the other photos too.

Part 31 of 52 of my 'Build-a-MOC-a-Week' project for 2021

Combination of two jungle dragon sets (nr. 71746)

I bought two of these mostly because of the color 'Teal', which I had none of. While building the set, I really felt like I could make an upgrade if I combine the two, so I did it.

Only with a small number of my own parts (ball joint connectors and mixeljoint connecters) I only used the parts of the actual sets, which was a fun challenge for myself.

I got rid of the wings, mainly because I didn't like them on the set and a wingless jungle dragon fits more in my view.

Hope you enjoy these shots, I definitely did!

Always a VIC for novvember

Welcome to the Hands of Time's blacksmith's shop, worked by none other but Kai's infamous father himself. Well, at least, if you don't know what happened you may think of it like that, hahaha - if you have, you already know all the hows and whats and becauses of it all, XP

And, I'm back into my NINJAGO groove already, haha! Here's my "Legacy version" of the Dragon's Forge set - which, I must admit right off the bat, was already an epic set in the first place! But you know, the interior could have really used some spicing up, if nothing else... *wink*

I hope to have some more pics coming pretty soon (when it finally decides to stop raining, hehe). Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome as always!

That's my part of our RogueBricks ninnjago collab. Last chance to see the whole one, is today at SteineWahn in Berlin Tegel.

This is just one of 16 parts and we will try to make a proper photo of the whole collab this evening.

Here's a complete shot of the collab we built for "Steinewahn 2021" in Berlin. Check the affiliated builders feeds for detailed shots of their awesome buildings. My "Golden Teapot" is in the back there...

Started out modding "Zane's Titan Mech Battle" and it kind of got away from me.

Here's a Ninjago inspired MOC, made for the latest New Elementary contest. 26 construction elements has been used into this build, can you spot them?

I've never watched Ninjago but I fell in love with the architecture of the "Temple of Airjitzu" so I got the set last month during double VIP points. I was thrilled to discover female Ninja minifig, Nya, in the set so I took her portrait in the Ninja Training room.

Here is a little MOC I made for Brick Fanatics some time ago, you can find the instructions for it here!

Built for the LEGO Ninjago Legacy contest on EB.

More pictures coming when it stops raining!

A Kai themed MOC has been on my to-build list for a long time! Originally, I was thinking about doing an ordinary studs-up vignette, with scenes in corners all around a central core, but that didn't seem very photogenic. I've built a couple smaller scrolls before, but I've always wanted to do a really good larger one! Not sure I quite achieved that goal, but I am very happy with the two smaller scenes here and with the overall look.

There's a Build Log on my blog and a Time Lapse video on my YouTube, if you'd like to see the process behind this creation!

My and my sons part for the RogueBricks Collab for the Steinewahn 2021. A foto of the complete collab is soon to follow.

Sensei Wu and Misako enjoy some morning tea in the Temple of Arijitzu. From the little bit I've read online about Ninjago, it sounds like their relationship is complicated but I'm going to put them in the "Cute Couple" category anyway :-)

In a world of ever shifting balance, the forces of good and evil are pushed beyond their limits.

It has been a while since the last figbarf! Fresh parts arrived earlier this week and I got into some kind of super flow after that! I've tried to come up with unheard and unseen lore names, but forgive me if I'm repeating anything existing; I haven't watched the show in several years. Nevertheless, I'm still a little ninja at heart, and I had a blast pushing my own limits with this figbarf! :)

Let me know what you think of them, and if you have a favourite!

Hey there!

Here is my build I've created for the Innovalug collab of this month:

'Christmasify an existing Lego theme'.

Hope you enjoy it, and I wish you all a very blessed Christmas.

Here's a portrait of the new Nya minifigure from Tiger Widow Island :-)

I've been swamped with work this week so I hope to get back to taking photos soon!

Does anyone know the release date for Ninjago Season 6 in the US? I thought it was going to be in March but it hasn't been released yet (unless I missed it?).

Built for the TBB Ninjago City collaboration at BrickCon 2018. The original set is one of my favorites of all time, and I had a lot of fun building a tribute. This tiny urban seaside park harbors a grand pagoda built over a sea cave. There is a flower market in the canal, and the levels above include a teahouse, maritime supply store, eel stand, cafe, and mini mart. All have full interiors.

For all photos see the album.

I know, I know, everyone and their cousin has one of these posts. I promise this is the only one from me.

But anyway, has anyone else noticed that this gal's hair is a really good fit for Neon from RWBY?

A reimagining of the Oni and the Dragon, creatures that inhabit the first realm and play a central role in the lineage of the Green Ninja. Built for celebrating the 10th anniversary of Ninjago - hard to believe it's been that long!

It took me several tries over many days to get a portrait of the Postman that I liked. I wanted it to look like he was out delivering mail when I took the shot :-)

I've finally caught up on Ninjago - we watched Season 5 recently. I now realize that the Temple of Airjitzu isn't featured in the story as much as I thought it would be but it's still an awesome set and fun to use for photos.

This morning I found Sensei Wu on the steps of the temple watching his Ninjas train. I quickly snapped a shot before he spotted me :-)

This set is making me tempted to start watching Ninjago......

Here’s the Ninjago City Temple I built for our roguebricks collab at Steinewahn2021. It’s the middle section, which was surrounded by the rest of the city.

Quiet moments in the garden. This is what Wu lives for.

Hello my friends, today I’m sharing my new creation of a floating market scene with the Ninjago gang. This scene was inspired by the floating market in Thailand. I really like the atmosphere from these markets, just like a color palettes of life, and I’m looking forward to visit someday.

I’m very busy these days, but the video BTS is coming soon for this build, stay tuned to my YouTube channel!

Happy Tuesday my friends!

I wanted to build an asian style moc for a long time, and now i finally made one. I'm pretty happy with the result, and te crowd on Legoworld Utrecht 2016 really liked my build!

I should've made photo's before the event, as it's quite dusty now, and cant remove it without destroying the whole build...

I hope you enjoy the ninjago/japanese style build, and stay tuned for some new castle mocs in the next few months!

Hope you enjoy,

Jaap Bijl

A quick shot of the Shadow theater in the Temple of Airjitzu set. Since I just started watching Ninjago (Season 1), I have no idea how the shadow theater relates to the story but I thought it was awesome anyway......

The set lacked some articulation and it's wings were way to tiny, so I made my own version: 1 meter long, a 2 meter wingspan and even the tongue has 3 points of articulation 😁

We're still watching Season 1 of Ninjago. I've enjoyed it so much that I ordered this version of Nya from Bricklink :-) Here she poses for a portrait in front of the Blacksmith Shop sign from the Temple of Airjitzu.

Recently, I helped out with a series of vignettes based on the new Ninjago Movie minifig series for Brick Fanatics. It was a fun project, and I got to work with some other great builders, such as frequent collaborator Daniel Konstanski.

I took this photo before I even started watching the Ninjago DVD's. Funny thing is, I went to a lot of effort to pose her in front of the Blacksmith Shop sign only to realize that the Blacksmith Shop in the Temple of Airjitzu doesn't seem to be the same one that's in the TV Show. So far, I'm not sure how the Temple of Airjitzu set relates to the show but I'm only up to Season 3 :-)

But I still like this photo of Nya, so I'm posting it anyway. Plus it's not Star Wars related so that means no spoilers :-)

Today, for my 40th birthday, i built this little ninjagous scene.

Near the small shrine, Master Wu is waiting for the students together with his beloved dog.

Enjoy :)

This is based on concept art from Matt Betteker of what I believe to be what is now Scott's garage in Ninjago: Prime Empire.

I've had this build in the works for a few weeks now, though one of those were spent rendering the model 45 different ways to try and get it to look better than it does, but I'm happy with how it came out.

All parts used in this build come in the colours used (minus the 3x3 macaroni tiles in white, but I reckon they'll exist soon enough).
