At the end of the candle festival in Nikko in February. Fireworks with the backdrop of a full moon, surrounded by a candlelit snow-scape -- perfect holiday spot!

I want to say thank you, Sally Robertson, for the gorgeous reference photo. Working with Nikko’s picture has brought me such great joy! That little face, so happy, just makes me smile! I had lost my will to draw after losing my fur baby in April of 2019. These challenges helped me get back to what I love, and for that, I will be forever grateful. ❤️

Nikkō (日光, litt. Lumière du Soleil) se situe au pied des montagnes, au milieu de forêts de cryptomerias, de cèdres et de pins.
A lovely evening of fireworks and candles in the snow. Candles lined the Kanmangafuchi abyss. Participants were able to write on a candle and place it somewhere along the trail, or in the field just before the entrance.
