Nice sort of rainbow effect, as the clouds got redder the closer they were to the horizon.

Am 30. September 2017 brachten 1142.608 und 1116.056 den leeren Erzzug LGAG 58665 nach Eisenerz. Dieser Zug verkehrt täglich und bekommt ab Selzthal zumeist einen "altwertigen" Vorspann für die Fahrt durch das Gesäuse. Bei Frauenberg im Ennstal konnte ich diese Leistung aufnehmen. Im Bildhintergrund die eindrucksvolle Warscheneckgruppe, am rechten Bildrand verbirgt sich die Wallfahrtskirche von Frauenberg hinter den Bäumen. Nettes Detail am Rande ist der kleine Smiley auf der Lokfront der 1142.
At September 30th 2017 ÖBB's 1142.608 and 1116.056 hauled empty freight train LGAG 58665 to Eisenerz. This train commutes on daily basis and gets most of the time an older engine in front to support the Taurus for its journey through the so-called Gesäuse. I took this picture near Frauenberg, in the background you can see the impressive mountain chain called Warscheneckgruppe. On the right side the church of Frauenberg hides behind the trees. Nice detail is the little smiley on the front of the class 1142 engine.
So... After days trying to get this bird it finally shows up right at the back of the reserve only to get chased off by crows. It then pops up again to the left of the hide then flies behind it. I dash out the back just in time to see it do a 180 and fly around the front again, I rush back in, sit down, go to get the shot only to find my strap is now caught under the shelf and I can't get the camera up to my eye.... by which time the 'kin bird has flown past, and I only manage a ring shot... Doh !!

Here's what happened: I was a prisoner on Castaway Island--sad and forlorned--when a private Helicopter showed up out of nowhere. This sleek looking Italian guy got out and eyed me head to toe. That wasn't very nice: I already knew I looked and smelled bad. I big-eyed him back.
I couldn't understand his language very well but when he rubbed his fingers together (the international symbol for money) I knew exactly what he meant. The next thing I knew I was in Milan being shoved down a runway for some guy named Gucci. Now that is making lemonade out of lemons! Yesterday's starving look* is today's money making emaciated model look. They promised me burgers after the show...a big platter full, and I doubt if the other models will go near them. They also gave me the gold leather-embossed iPod case that I modeled...and the iPod!
